Matt Jacques has the creds but I found the video to be a little "dry" and choppy. The concepts are shown well but its nothing we have not seen before. I wish the section regarding situational awareness was more thought out and expanded upon as it was a quick 6mins of common sense. I think there are better instructional DVDs out there. This one just did not seem to do it for me and I think its best to stick with Dave Spaulding and Paul Howe vids for now. Nothing against Mr. Jacques but there was something about this video that didn't keep my interest. Its a good watch but I would not purchase this DVD. I would "rent" it (watch by streaming). Maybe the next Jacques video will be more exciting with fresh content.

Another great training aid from one of America's best trainers. Matt is no longer the firearms training worlds best kept secret.

I have watched this DVD multiple times and feel that it is a great addition to the training materials of anyone that carries a firearm for personal protection (and everyone should be doing this). There is a clear hole in the industry between very basic beginner level classes and uber tier 1 operator "tacticool" techniques that do not translate to everyday carry. Matt Jacques is the single best trainer offering instruction that fills this gap. His instruction is relevant and applicable to the real world of the armed citizen. Matt really breaks down the techniques he displays in this video in a way that is easy to grasp and repeat for yourself. This video is an excellent follow up to his first video "Fundamentals of Everyday Carry" and I would recommend it to anyone that is serious about being able to safely and efficiently protect themselves and their family in an unfair world.
