Arturia DrumBrute Impact Analog Drum Machine

i really love jamming out with this. it's versatile enough on its own for electronic music, but i also use it to sequence a Beat Buddy and it's SO nice to have an acoustic sound driven by this little beast!! once i have all my melodies put together i find myself drawn back to playing on the DBI; the step repeat/roller/solo options really make a session as fun and varied as it'd be on an acoustic kit. i really don't see myself replacing this anytime soon; the controls feel nice and are very intuitive.

This is a great sounding and functional analog drum machine with good connectivity and it's very playable. I've seen a few reviews (here and on YouTube) that note the limited number of sounds or functionality for the price and I think they're missing the point. This is an old-school inspired box with some modern functionality and it's excellent at what it does (punchy and powerful drums) with some sound design and mixing options, plus a nice distortion circuit. I personally love being able to mute or solo different drum parts and the beat repeat/roll function adds a lot of spice!

Great build quality, the top plate is plastic, the bottom is metal, feels solid, knobs are ok. Sound is good, I'm not a super drum machine expert, but very fast and intuitive to use. Great if it had more sounds, but can't complain, knew about it. I have Elektron machine drum, and it's so complicated and unintuive, I know it's ver powerful, but don't want to get into tutorials. This is nice! Going to use it for looping and experimental freeflow tracks.

Literally the most fun I've had right out of the box with any piece of gear. The controls are super intuitive and easy to learn. I love the individual outputs for different instruments. I ran the FM drum through a guitar delay pedal and then through an amp overdrive while maintaining the rest of the mix on its own; super cool sounds and potential. Base on all that, I 'd say it's highly recommended if you're looking for an analog drum machine! I haven't messed around much with it as a MIDI controller or anything but I have high hopes that I think will be met.

You have to really appreciate that is ANALOG- I believe with Steiner Parker filters. A full analog drum machine for $300 is insane, and it sounds good to go right out of the box. I would have appreciated a per-voice output on the back, but it really doesn't need much help in post, I just run into the mix raw.

Love this thing. It works great with my setup and It's easy to ad-lib drum patterns into anything I'm working on. Analog machines are expensive, and not all are created equal. This one hits the bill for so many reasons for me personally, but mine was specifically bought for my personal workflow.

I was looking for something that would be easy to start playing right out of the box. This machine is both that and also a complex powerhouse of drums that I haven't even really scratched the surface of. So many great features it would be difficult to list them all. I learn something new every time I can escape the grind to make some music.

Je suis un vieux (66 ans) qui joue du synthé depuis 40 ans. Mon Novation UltraNova ne me fait pas peur, mais je m'imaginais mal programmer une BAR car je ne suis pas du tout batteur (il faut un cerveau par main et pied pour être un grand batteur). Ayant vu des videos de l'Impact sur YouTube, je me suis dit "pourquoi pas? ça ne coûte pas cher." J'ai un petit homestudio dans mon bateau avec l'UltraNova, un Korg Minilogue et un Tascam 24 piste Digital Portastudio. Il me manquait un batteur et il est arrivé ce matin. Ce petit est rempli de fonctions mais facile à utiliser et le son est superbe (méfiez-vous du son sur YouTube). Même en utilisant les patches installés, on peut les modifier à volonté. Il ne faut pas imaginer que l'Impact est une version simplifiée du Drumbrute. C'est un instrument à part qui dépasse son grand frère avec le bouton "colour", la distortion et la FM Drum. Si vous cherchez une BAR de qualité et de bon prix, vous ne pouvez pas faire mieux qu'avec ce petit bijou. Il faut féliciter Arturia d'avoir évité la tentation de sortir une version "bon marché" du Drumbrute et d'avoir fait un nouvel instrument qui a déjà été adopté par des professionels partout dans le monde.

La réponse aux touches physiques et tactiles, il n’y a aucune latence. Avec Arturia, on ne se trompera jamais. Un article a collectionner pour les amateurs analogiques.

Yaklaşık 1 aydır kullanıyorum, malzeme kalitesi knoblar dışında gayet tatmin edici, uzun süreli ve sık kullanımda knoblar bir problem çıkarabilir. Kullanımı basit, diğer drum machineler gibi ... Ses paletini çok tatmin edici bulmadım, en nihayetinde bir sampler mantığında olmayan bir ürün. Distortion ve fm ünitesi ile renkli bir ses paleti mümkün ancak yine de bu konuda aşırı bir beklenti içerisinde olmamak gerekli. Hatler tek bir devreye bağlı, aynı anda (aynı gridde) closed hat ve open hat çalamıyor. Diğer drum machinelerden ayıran kısmı polyrhythm özelliği, fazlasıyla etkileyici buldum. Fiyat olarak uygun olduğu için tercih ettim, daha yüksek fiyatı olsaydı kesinlikle daha başka bir modele yönelirdim.

When you use a phrase like "One trick pony" then people often think that's an insult. But if something does it's one thing well, and is priced reasonably, then i honestly mean it as a compliment. . This is one of those devices that just has one set of sounds that you can tweak a little bit. But once you know to expect that then it's not really a cause to criticize. . I love this machine. I was looking for the bigger O.G. version, but the fact that they are sold out everywhere i looked says a lot. This is good though, and it fits into my hardware rig in a way it's bigger brother probably wouldn't. .
