Fill it with kiln-dried sand and use a big funnel!
I managed to get 3.5 x 25 kg bags of kiln-dried sand into the drum, which gives it an impressive weight. Easy to put together and well designed. The garden has just had its first roll, and when the ground is a bit softer I will have another go at it.Key thing is to buy the largest funnel you can find that will fit the aperture. That way it only takes 30 minutes or so to fill. Doing it with a regular sized funnel would drive you mad.

Parts missing
Good product though overpriced in my opinion - Parts missing (2 washers) - No response from manufacturer after sending a message asking if they could rectify.

I had an issue with 2 parts missing (2 bolts). I contacted the manufacturer who sent replacement parts by post the same day I contacted them. It seems like a good piece of equipment

Well made, suggest filling with play sand we used dried builders sand was quite difficult. Excellent product, easy to use.

arrived damaged ... Update= this roller is actually very well made, I would recommend. But I would not buy from Amazon ( large items that arrive damaged are to hard to return
