Has some positive features
Keeping in mind this is the cheapest glass door book shelf on the market, it's not that bad. It is all particle board covered with wallpaper, but that's what you get in today's market. The sellers packaged this very securely. I saw it drop to the ground when delivered, yet the fall didn't break the glass. If you follow the instructions this thing will not last long. I glued every contact together and I added corner support boards. I stapled the back with an air gun, and the staples are every two inches apart. Later, I will add shelf support to the two movable shelf's. It looks great and it is now very sturdy. Do your homework, and it will last a long time.

Take your time and make sure you understand the instructions
This is made of what I call wood chips and glue. It is very heavy. After I got it inside my house, I unpacked it downstairs and took the parts upstairs in several trips and built it in the room where it will stay. No problem, but much easier than trying to carry it upstairs in the shipping container. The instructions are good and accurate. It went together OK and looks fine. I recommend adding a few tools to the list given: a rubber mallet to help align the sides and set the dowels, and an “L”-shaped T-square to make sure it is properly aligned. If you have a screw starter for Phillips heads, that will help, too. I also stood it up before installing the doors because I was concerned about flipping it upright fully assembled due to the weight. Turned out to be a bit more of a hassle, so take your pick. And the hinges are adjustable. Don’t tighten them down before you try to hang the doors. You need the play to align them for the pre-drilled screw holes and then adjust the closure. The Amazon listing recommends two people for assembly. Probably easier with two, especially in view of the weight, but I did it by myself. Looks very nice finished, and if you want to add extra shelves, it wouldn’t be hard to do that. The little shelf support pins are standard sized. Overall, I am very happy with it, especially at the price.

Adequate If Used Infrequently
The material construction of this cabinet is not very good. My wife uses it to display some of her hand madequilts. The doors do not align properly and it is all do to the substandard materials used.If you are looking for a cabinet that will be used and opened frequently I suggest you look at another product.n You get what you pay for applies considerably in this case.

Pray nothing comes damaged
I ordered March 3rd, received March 8th. Amazon shipping was obviously pretty fast and on time from what they said it would be, actually early by several days even though I hit the I'm okay waiting button.Everything looks pretty nice considering it's compressed wood. Not sure how sturdy it is yet since i haven't been able to finish building it. :/ The toe kick on the shelf came damaged, and I had to order a replacement. Contacted manufacturer by email the 24th, received reply the 25th. They put in the replacement part order on the 26th, and it says it's shipped the 28th. Not too bad. Arrives April 3rd. So 9 days from the point of the part actually being ordered. Not even counting the 3 days before that emailing and giving them the information they wanted. Now see, I wouldn't even be that angry, except, they had a literally photo of the item i ordered with a text description of it and its color, through the screen shot of the amazon receipt. So the explanation for why I was sent a toe kick in the wrong color is just unreasonable. I understand mistakes happen, but if you know a customer has already contacted once, and that you(same service person unless it's a chat bot?) personally made a mistake, why would you not put a rush on the order? I contacted them the same day I received the wrong color toe kick, and they didn't even ship the item until today, Apr 10th, even though they placed the order on the 4th. I'm sorry but that's just insane. If it takes as long to get here as the last one, i'm gonna be waiting until april 19th(25days) just to get this stupid toe kick with my half finished shelf in my living room for almost two months. :/So basically, it's a decent shelf. It looks nice, and seems like it'll be relatively stable once the toekick is in and there are more shelves bracing it, may update my rating if it is. But be aware, if anything is broken, you may possibly be waiting an unreasonably long time to get the right part. =_=Finally got the right color toe kick apr 18.It's definitely very sturdy feeling now that it's fully built. The wood surface did have a few little nicks in it but I honestly can't be sure that wasn't from me having to move it around so much while trying to finish building it since it chips easy. The doors don't quite align right with the screw holes that were provided on the doors. If you do some wiggling you can get everything pretty close though if you don't want to just move the screw. But overall looks pretty nice.

Warning!! Do not order this bookcase.
I ordered this bookcase to hold my favorite books. I consider myself good at assembling furniture, but I'm best at assembling wood and metal. This bookcase is the made of the cheapest, worst materials ever imagined. The chipboard isn't like engineered wood or new wood products, and I paid enough for real wood from countries that care about quality. The veneer was paper printed with a photo of wood over dry-pressed chip board. The assembly instructions were confusing, even more than usual. Even the hardware was cheap to the feel and the design. I'm old and lacking the stamina to fight for a fair deal. I'll have to live with the deal I accepted. TAKE WARNING! This is a bad product, which was probably intended for a low-end market at a cheap price point. The product photo turned out nice and you can't tell from the product name that it's a cheaply made product.
