As a complete newbie to shining, I picked this brush up alongside some brown boot polish to restore my boots for an event. I applied the polish with a rag in a circular motion, let it set, and then came back with a dry rag to wipe the polish. The boots looked much better but still were very dull. I went over them with this brush for about a minute and couldn't believe how much of a difference it made. I couldn't be happier with this product!

I bought this brush because I needed a separate brush for some white shoes I have. I somehow expected it to be the official image on the product page, but that is not the case. The photos uploaded by haydenangel are what the brush looks like. The wood doesn't have a nice finish, it isn't as long as it appears, it isn't slightly curved, and the bristles don't look anywhere near as nice as the official product image.That being said, it is horsehair, and it does polish shoes, it ships with Amazon Prime, and it's less than $8. I wouldn't be happy with this as the brush I use on my nicer shoes, but for the odd white pair I have, I'm happy enough. Buy it if you want a working brush for the price. Don't buy it if you want a nice brush. For $13 you can get a much nicer brush through The Hanger Project website.

I didn't see the sense in breaking the bank on a shoe brush. these work just fine. as expected, the hairs will fall out of the brush with use (other reviewers have noted this); but not to a degree where I'd throw it out. Design improvement on this would be to arc the handle so that as you quickly brush your shoes, you minimize the chance of striking the leather with the edges of the handle. depending how hard you brush this could bruise or blemish your shoe finish. I've adapted my technique to accommodate for it.

Amazon's review input seems to think this is a shoe not a shoe brush. I actually use it to remove animal hair from clothes, and it does the job very well. At times of high humidity it is perfect. During very dry weather, static electricity kicks in, and the animal hair floats off and then floats back on to the black work garment. I still love the brush. The wood handle feels very pleasant in the hand, and the bristles seem kind but effective on all fabrics.

I've used this product on my leather Timberland boots for several weeks now and it keeps them clean looking. I would recommend this product.

I bought some polish and this brush. The bristles on the brush are very soft yet strong. I polished my boots yesterday waited about 15 minutes for polish to dry then brushed the shine back up using this beauty brush. The boots look brand new! Would highly recommend buying this Brush for fantastic results

If you want a house/table/hand/boot full of shedding bristles then this is the brush for you. If you want to clean your boots without leaving a trail of hairs everywhere then I would look elsewhere.

Lovely horsehair brush. Other reviews mentioned shedding, but I have not noticed this. I've used this brush a lot since purchasing and only lost about half a dozen hairs.

The fact that the brush is made with old fashioned horse hair, makes this a quality item.

Loved it! Using the right tool for the job makes all the difference.
