OXO Good Grips Upright Sweep Set

I have a studio apt. and did not need a big broom. I usually vacuum and needed this for just picking up small things. Perfect for me and the teeth on the dustpan work well when you run the broom through it. Takes out the dust. Plus I have always liked xoxo brand . The quality is good.

My old favorite was the Quickie set, which was just a plain long handled dustpan (flat, not like an enclosed box) and broom but they are no longer available. After reading lots of reviews I went with this set. And it is small but it's perfect for getting into little nooks and around furniture legs etc. The sweeping function is great, the capturing function is also great, and easy to empty. Extremely lightweight so no fatigue. I am 5 foot six with normal length arms. I don't have to stoop over while using. It's a high-quality looking item and looks like it will last and has good grip too. Two more things I'd like to add after using a larger heavier one today in my garage: the fact that the collection box locks in the open position is so much more efficient than having it swing shut every time you lift it off the ground. And there's something about the handles and grips and the whole design that makes it seem like it's springy, like it's doing part of the work itself. It feels very much like an extension of your own arms and hands.

OXO Good Grips Upright Sweep Set ($27.99)This is a small broom that I ordered to keep in the kids' bathroom. The bathroom floor is often covered with pet hair and my kid's hair. They have long hair and brushes it and it falls to the floor to collect. The measurements of the broom is in the description and in the photos. I took note of these and knew what to expect.The broom bristles are of high quality and stiff. I have purchased a similar broom for the main bath and the bristles were "soft" and "bouncy" and flung dust and debris everywhere while using. I love this broom as it works well in collecting, dirt, pet hair and kids' long strands. The dustpan is also very nice. Has teeth that can help filter out hair and fur from collecting on the bristles. Together the dustpan and broom snap together on the handles and the pan can be turned upright so that this could be stored in the bathroom closet and not take up much room. This is perfect for a small space. This would not be appropriate to use for a large room or space. This is exactly what I was looking for. OXO brand products rarely disappoint. Highly recommended!

This broom has been great and the dustpan with the rubber scraper things is awesome but it’s wicked short. I guess I didn’t read that it wasn’t a normal length broom/dustpan. My fault, but other than the size it’s been fantastic for little sweeping jobs around the kitchen, just not fully sweeping a room.

Eeny weeny teeny tiny. Child sized. I guess plastic is getting more expensive and companies are using less but charging the same price. That means their products are designed for 4 foot tall children. Shrinkflation, I think they call it.The thing sweeps fine, but if you mean it for a full room it will take you 4 times longer than your O Cedar-type adult size broom or dustmop will.Still it is effective in sweeping up tiny pansfull of dog hair and spilled flour and eggshells. I do like the teeth on the pan that can catch my fallen hair the broom found on the bathroom floor. And it's nice not to have to stoop to use the big dustpan I used to have. As it is, I use my big old broom to sweep up large areas and then switch to this tiny thing to fill a pan. And it takes two or three more trips to the trash can to clear up the detritus my full sized broom presents to me than the old stoopy dust pan could collect.If you stand taller than 5'2", or you'd rather save time doing chores, look around for another similar product and be sure to look at the dimensions before you click "Buy Now". I relied on the quality of previous items I'd purchased from this brand and I did not read reviews. In photos, the set looks full sized. When it's unpacked, it's sized for playing house.Irksome.

First, the pygmy elephant in the room - this thing is small. the broom is completely inadequate for trying to sweep a whole room, but it's great for pulling out when you need to spot clean some kind of a spill. I'm still giving it 5 stars and will get to why, but just don't expect this to be the last broom and dustpan you'll ever own.Where this thing shines is in the quality Oxo puts in all of their products. The silicone lip does a great job of picking up the pile of dirt and dust in just a sweep or two. The silicone grippers on the upper part are great for catching hair and fluff off the broom. The materials look striking and high quality, and the parts generally all work well. What this kind of dustpan does for you is really saves your back from having to stoop down on the floor, and that's well worth it.Given the small size, I found myself generally cleaning with a regular broom, but then coming around with this to pick up the pile I'd created, and it was well worth the extra tool to save your back and not fighting a crappy plastic dustpan you have to sweep 6-7 times and you've still got crumbs on the floor it's not catching and you're doing it all bent over the whole time.Well worth it and I keep it around in the kitchen to quickly clean and catch spills on the spot.
