These reading strips work very well to help students keep their pace when reading. It also helps students focus on one line and decreases the number of skipped words. Each package comes in 7 colors so students can choose their favorite or which one works best for them. Doubles as a bookmark. ... I bought a set to use at home for my kids and a set for the reading specialists at my kids' school.

I have to admit that I didn't really put much faith in these. A friend of mine who has dyslexia suggested them for my daughter. So I got them. And Wow! I am so shocked at what a difference it has made for her. She LOVES to pick a different color to read with and it really has helped her to focus on the line she is working on in her book. She actually WANTS to read now because she loves to use these little strips so much. The clear colored plastic allows her to read the line and I'm not sure if the colors have something to do with it or not - but she seems to recognize more words when they are in a different color. I'm not sure if it's just the novelty of the colors or what, but I don't care. They work!

I have found these Guided reading strips to be a great help for my child with dyslexia. The strips help reduce frustration brought on by losing her place in reading and also reduce anxiety when she looks at the whole page thinking "I have to read all of this"! I also tried them with my son who deals with concentration issues and they really help him stay focused...I am not sure how, but they do ! They do bend easily which is nice because they form to the page in any book but be aware, this does make it easier to get a crease in them if they get folded by accident. We have a few that were inadvertently folded and they do not lay as nicely on the page.*review updated after a few months of use.

Great product. These really help my students read their text books and chapter books. Size of a bookmark so its easy for them to leave in their book for the next reading or put in their pencil box for safe keeping. The students try out each color until they find the one that works the best. So helpful for those kiddos that have difficulty reading, staying focused, fatigue easily, and have disabilities. Definately keeping these in stock in my resource classroom.Just bought three more packs to share with more struggling readers. These are so helpful to anyone I have had try them. I'm very thankful to have these on hand to support my students.

These have saved my daughter. I purchased these for my daughter. She is going into 3rd grade and has struggled with reading, saying the words are jumping all over, and has had other signs of dyslexia. We know if we didn't do something she was going to be held back or have to be in special classes. Within an hour after using it she went from hating reading, to her wanting to read, I can't pry books out of her hands anymore. Her spelling has improved, her reading comprehension is amazing. And to hear her laugh about something funny in a story is a miracle! I was very skeptical, but not at all anymore! I wish we purchased these for her 2 years ago, completely different child. I tried these going through each color asking which is better, and going back and forth between them till we found one that worked. It was the yellow one for her and I bought a 12-pack of yellow!

Absolutely fantastic product, they're thin and work wonderfully as a bookmark in between reading. They're excellent for dyslexia and have improved his reading comprehension by at least 70%! I love all the colors that come in this package, it's especially great for the person that is new to this kind of reading treatment and doesn't yet know which color works best for them. I was immediately handed the pink one to keep (not manly enough) and we discovered that the yellow and blue are easiest for him to use at different times of day. What a great idea, simple and effective.

I bought these for 2 of my students whom i thought would benefit from them. They liked being able to choose their own color. They are excited when they get to use them for reading. I have noticed a slight difference in their reading fluency. Instead of getting lost and taking an extra extended period of time to read a few sentences, they both read more fluently. The grey areas block out the other sentences so they do not get lost in their reading. It has boosted their confidence in their reading ability.
