Statement Piece. God Bless the USA
We purchased this flagpole after reading many reviews and used those reviews to plan accordingly. Some other reviewers complained that the pole was thin aluminum and easily bends in high winds. Others said that that to overcome this, they lined the interior of the pole with piping. We went one step further. Each 40" section is tapered (except the very top section) so that the sections slide into each other. We cut 1.5" Sched 40 PVC in 34.5" pieces and pushed them through each section until it reached the taper. The top section required a 38" piece. After putting PVC into each section we joined all the sections together. I bought 2 10' Sched 40 1.5" PVC pipes which were around $8 ea at Lowe's. We bought the 20' flagpole but didn't use one section, which made it roughly 16' tall. After assembling all the lengths together, I pushed 1.25" steel electrical conduit through the entire length. I had to purchase 2 10' pieces which were $16.50 at Lowe's. We have a 6'X6" pole concreted about 4' into the ground which serves as the gate post for our fence. I didn't concrete the flagpole into the ground. Instead, I drilled 4 holes through the 3 layers of piping and used 4 3.5" stainless steel lag bolts and washes and secured it to the 6X6 pole. Its rock solid!! The project came out great, and totaled around $102 including the cost of the flagpole kit. We also mounted a solar led light on the top since the flag flies all night. Tip... If you get the solar led light, use some car wax on the solar panels first. It will stay cleaner and deter water spots much longer than without. We've had some 30-40 mph winds and it hasn't budged. I've also had many neighbors compliment the new kit. It's much better than the standard 3/4" flagpole that we all usually used to mount to the side of the house. This really makes a statement.I definitely recommend purchasing but only if you are going to modify accordingly so that it lasts a very long time.

Great Flag Pole!
Easy to assemble, sturdy, even in Las Vegas 60 mph winds and works as intended. I ordered additional flag clips for the rope and added a 2nd flag, as well as a light to attach to light the flag at night, per protocol for flying the American Flag. The Flag quality itself is OK. We take both flags down when winds pick up to over 25 mph to keep them from fraying, and to keep the bucket we used to concrete the pole into from turning over. We did brace the pole to the building to steady prevent that issue, but this should hold up well if put into the ground instead of a bucket, as we chose to do because of the impossible soil to dig in Vegas. I could imagine that if you fly a large flag, or two flags, as we do, that the force exerted on the top could potentially bend the pole if you don' remove the flags in high winds, but if you follow flag protocol to prevent fraying, this is a great purchase. If you're a "hang it and forget it" type of person, you may want something with a bit thicker metal, as this one is fairly light-weight.

Love my flag pole as the flag flying high atop it.
The media could not be loaded. I set the sleve in concrete. After months of having this pole assembly. Up the rope had desentigrated! What once was one cord / rope is now 4 small cords. I'm not pleased with this at all. Over all I like the look, height, assemble ease, and functionality but now that I've had it erected and it has been exposed to every day weather. The rope is the only disappointment so far. I'm not sure this is a lasting product. Now I have to purchase a new rope for it.

Great yard flag and pole!
IT arrived when it said it would and putting together was easy as pie! The poles are labeled and they fit snugly into each other and the flag that came with it was nice and sturdy and looked good. The only problem is that after a few weeks, the tie down where the rope wraps around, at the base of the pole, broke. I wasn't putting pressure on it harder than before and it just broke in half. I haven't replaced it, but the pole itself is great looking and I love it in my yard. especially yesterday, it was fourth of July! I would buy another one if I needed one.

I had it up for about two weeks in pretty strong winds
I bought this pole in March of 2017. There's a few things to know.Use a concrete base for the PVC ground sleeve. I used about 70 lbs of Quikrete Fast Setting concrete. It was enough, but if you desire to make your hole bigger, use 100lbs.The pole itself feels very flimsy, being that it's aluminum. I had it up for about two weeks in pretty strong winds, and the pole would noticeably bend. A lot of people here say use a PVC pipe to help sturdy it up. I didn't feel comfortable with that and opted for a steel pipe. I used a ten foot, inch and a quarter pipe and it worked perfectly. An inch and a half pipe will be too big because of how the pole flanges in.The recommendation was made to use screws to fix the sections together and help with the bend. I haven't used those yet and it's withstood the weather fine.I have two 3x5 flags flying on the pole, and with the pipe inside, the flags looks great blowing in the wind.

Needs reinforcement but absolutely worth the money.
Assembles super easy. I did the modifications you see in these comments and YouTube electrical conduit and PVC fit so well you'd think it was designed for it. The PVC doesn't fit in the top 2 sections so to help with the extra space I wrapped electrical tape about a dozen wraps in a few places to make bumpers so everything fit snug. Also in case the metal clips clang against the pile I taped the openings and sprayed the backs with a flex seal type product. So they're coated in rubber. I know it's overkill but I also sprayed the electrical conduit with rustoleum cold galvanizing compound, and electrical taped the top of each 10' stick to prevent rust. It's overkill because the pole is designed well and the inside should stay dry. I also bought a cheap 4'x6' flag off Amazon for about $7 (pictured). But overall I'm really happy. For about $100 total you end up with a pole that's easily as strong as the $300 ones.
