Do these last a long time? I have some that are gel and they flattened out after about a year.

Mine are finally breaking down after 22yrs, yes years, of 12 hr shifts sometimes 7 days a week. As a machinist walking on concrete and steel cat walks,  and 6ft 2in, 205 lbs, I can't stress how important these have been in my life. Only issue I EVER had was my own, I got them wet, tried to dry in a low temp oven, and the foam at the toes curled up. I cut the foam off at the 3/4 length plastic and still used them. That was about 19 years ago. Absolutely the best part of my many pairs of workboots over the years

Question 2

I'm new to insoles. Do you buy some for each pair of shoes - or move them to whichever you are wearing? And how forgiving are they size-wise?

I keep a pair in my slippers that I always wear in the house, then I have additional pair for the shoes I wear outside. However, I find that I wear two different “outside” shoes often. One pair for going out or running errands, and another pair dedicated to gardening and home repairs as they tend to get a little more beat up. After a while I got tired of constantly switching out between these two pair of “outside” shoes, so I ordered a third pair. But like others suggested, try one pair first and make sure it’s the right type and size before buying additional pairs.

Question 3

I am a nurse and work 12 hour shifts.  I am concerned with the "lack" of cushioning.  Any comments or suggestions?

I work 12+ hour shifts, machinist, concrete floors and steel cast walks. I bought my pair 22+ yrs ago. Yes, that's correct, 22 years! They are sadly breaking down, finally, and that's why I am on here, looking for a new pair. My trusted ones were originally purple on top with a black plastic under peice, the latest ones don't look exactly alike, but these green ones are almost the same. I am 6ft 2 inches,  205lbs, and size 11.5 wide. Can't stress enough how important these insoles have been in my life. And hey, it's Prime,  if you don't like them..... well you know what to do..... send them back! 😀

Question 4

Whats the difference between the green and orange?
(they both say "high & high" for arch and volume.)

I asked Superfeet this question. They said: "Orange has more padding and is narrower. Green is more stiff and wider, both for made for high arches."
