Great cleaning ability
Good grit, easy to use, can get into smaller, tighter spaces because of the sponge backing. Like these so much better than the blocks that have little ability to be flexible. Cleans the rims of tumblers with ease. I think they are worth the money.

Great for hand sanding!
I loved them for the detailed hand sanding. I loved the variety of grits, and I was able to work much faster than with traditional sandpaper alone! However, when I used them on my lathe projects, they melted quickly. I wish I'd known they were so thin and susceptible to heat, unlike other sanding blocks I have used before. That being said, I will order more because they were so great for hand-sanding projects, because the more durable and heat-resistant sponge blocks have failed to work as well for my hand projects.

Thin and flexible, to a fault
This is a compact assortment of sanding sponges in grits ranging from 60 to 400. They are made of a flexible blue foam and two laminated sheets of sandpaper, and are about 1/2" thick. I'm not in love with these compared to my other sanding sponges, and I would probably pick a different style next time. The key issue is that these are thinner than other sanding sponges, making them harder to grip. The sides of the sponge also aren't covered in sandpaper, making it difficult to sand in crevices. The flexibility the thin design gives you does mean that these bend more than other sponges, but not enough to get into nooks and crannies like you can with a corner; I find the bending to actually be a negative in everyday use because I struggle to apply the right amount of pressure for sanding. These are definitely sandpaper sponges in the advertised grit levels, and they work...but not well. I think they're harder to use than traditional sponges and discovered that I strongly prefer the larger ones with sandpaper on the sides.
