GuinnessMug

I was very impressed with the look of this mug, both before and after buying it, but the size they stated it to be was extremely misleading. I would call it no more than of a common size coffee mug that is on sale in any shop where they sell both the standard small and large sizes, making the sellers' claim that their mug is a 'Really large Guinness mug' both inaccurate and misleading. The obvious thought of a large Guinness mug would be a pint instead of a half-pint. A 'Really large Guinness mug' would therefore be expected to be even larger than a pint. Perhaps a litre. The capacity of this mug however is only a mere two-thirds of a pint.I have several of this size already, along with two I call very large and one which I call really very large. The very large ones can contain half as much again as this mug and the really very large one contains double the capacity. I went and measured it. A shame, since the really large one has a chip and I thought I was finally getting a replacement for it.Apart from this fact though, the mug is fine. It is well designed and a pleasure to use for normal size quantities. It is quite possible I might have ended up buying it anyway at some future date, since I am quite fond of a drop of this heavenly brew on occasion. It was not however what I was looking for or expecting this time and so I can only give it an overly-generous 3 out of 5 stars.An addition dated 3rd October 2011Since the mug I bought was not suitable for soup and suchlike, which was the use I origionally intended it for, I reverted to using it for the purpose it was origionally meant for instead, which is of course for coffee. It turning out to be such a delight to use for this purpose, I went and ordered two more but one of which unfortunately arriving broken. The compampany couldn't be more helpful in this matter and a replacement arrived withinin a few days, without even the slightest hassle involved which is always a fear may happen. They have my sincere thanks.

Large size and good quality.

Wow... It's so much nicer in person. It's honestly gorgeous, the Guinness logo is 3D and on both sides of the mug which is so so nice, it's heavy, sturdy and well made. It's much bigger than an average mug it's such nice quality I'm really impressed. It's honestly worth the money. I love it so much!

I love this mug. I got one when I visited the Guinness factory in Ireland, but it sadly broke, so finding this and being able to replace is fantastic. I love my morning coffee and this lets me have a generous mug of it without having to refill, while keeping it nice and hot. Bigger than the average mug, this beauty is perfect. I love it.

1st mug was correct but arrived smashed in nothing but a paper bag as protection. Next two mugs were packaged well but wrong mug sent twice now!

Bought it as a gift for my husband - who is obsessed with Guinness beer, he LOVES it, he says it's not only a really nice mug (which it is, it's so much better in person than in the picture) but also it ifts the equivalent of 2 regular cups of coffee which is great as he's a big coffee drinker and this way he doesn't have to get up and go to the kitchen to pour himself that 2nd cup. He loves it and so do I

Bought these as wanted a large mug. These are well made feel quality and hold a very large brew.
