The Original Bedstead Company Mortlake Queen Size Metal Bed (Glossy Finish, Ivory)

I had bought a metal bed earlier from another company and was a bit sceptical of buying another one as the last one became a bit squeaky and a had a hidden cost in terms of a plywood that I had to buy to support the mattress properly lest it would would gone out of shape soon. But I am incredibly happy that I chose this one and wish I had chosen the same last time. The bed is amazingly sturdy with very innovative removable yet sturdy arc shaped metal sheets to support the bed. The qualityand finish is top notch and I couldnt have asked for more. Super happy with my purchase, planning to buy - couple more in near future. I just hope the price doesn’t get raised by that time.

Overall quality of the bed is good. The metal quality is good and sturdy. Neatly painted with a fine finish. The bed delivered (in two parts) in well padded cardboard boxes with good packaging material. No scratches and no missing parts. Easy to assemble and all necessary tools are provided including the instruction manual. There is a scope to improve quality and clarity of the instructions. I could assemble myself (without second person's help) in one hour. The wooden plates are neat but difficult to comment on sturdiness of them. Did observe little creaking noise while making moves on the bed. Could minimize creaking noise by adjusting wooden plates. Expect little creaking noise, nothing to complaint about the product. Definitely 'Value for Money'.

Excellent service by seller. Had placed the order on 29 Jan 18 and contacted seller for arranging delivery by a particular date. Seller, Mr Prashant has been very helpful and exceeded all expectations by delivering the product today, 04 Feb 18.Coming to the product, the build quality and finish is of very high standard, especially for this price range. The parts were very well packaged to protect against transit damage. All tools required for assembly are provided with the product. The accompanying manual very clearly indicates the step by step process for assembly. One cannot go wrong with the assembly following the manual even if doing such activity for the first time. Mr Prashant even called up in between to enquire whether I'm facing any difficulty for the assembly, a nice personal touch. However, a slightly larger font on the manual would have been great.The assembled product feels sturdy and looks exactly as expected. Feels comfortable too.There is an option for fitting drawers under the bed, to be ordered separately. This option is not available through Amazon, I was informed by the seller. Have purchased and fitted 2 drawers (Rs 5649). Seller may include this option through Amazon site.Ideally two people should work on the assembly, though it can be done by an individual also. I completed the assembly by myself, including the two drawers, within two hours after unpacking the product.Overall, an excellent product backed by a reliable seller.

Got it one day early.Neatly packed and each and every part was safe and secure.The manual was well written and pictures were given to show how to assemble the bed. All the equipments were provided inside the box. I ,with the help of my flatmate, assembled it with in 1 hour.The polish is smooth and the bed looks very elegant.The wooden slats make the mattress sit on a firm medium and thus the experience in the bed is really comfortable.Sometimes it is making noise while I change my position in the bed. I have not expected this from this bed. I would really be happy if this issue is fixed by any means.

Packaging - 10/10 very compactDelivery - 2/10 we had a lot of issues dealing with fedex tracking our order.Ordered on June 10. Been using for almost 3.5 months now.It's still intact. I wanted to review right then because it looks pretty. But then I was really scared that it might just fall off because those wooden plates look really blean to hold enough weight.Now that I've used it for 3+ months and nothjng broke I can recommend its sturdy. Except a screechy noise that I'm sure is a gift or iron beds.Its super easy to assemble. And it's super easy to clean. Looks new still.I'm glad that I made this purchase.

Well I'm using this bed since year 2018..the built quality is satisfactory value for money..got minor issue with slats which got resolved by customer support...the product assembly is easy u will get instruction manual and tools inside.If someone is looking for beds that can be transported and gets assemble/disassemble easily..for them it's great option...

Very good product & quality of the bed is really good. The joints are perfect. Neatly painted with a fine finish. The bead is really steady and does not make any sound. Even though the plywood pieces feels thin and flimsy, it gives a cushion effect and seems strong enough to handle enough weight. Also, they provide 5 years replaceable warranty on all these parts so no need to worry about it. They have an under bed storage attachment if you are ordering in their website.Assembly took 20 mins for me to complete and its pretty easy for someone with a little common sense.They provide all tools required to assemble the bed.8 people found this helpful
