I was hesitant to purchase these because I read a lot of reviews about it breaking after the first use but they were so affordable that I took the risk. I took these to go oyster shucking at Tomales Bay and they worked out wonderfully. We used these to shuck about 100 oysters and are still in great condition. We haven't gone back a second time so I don't know how well they will last in the long run but it works great for the price.

I purchased this after going to a oyster pearl party. My daughter was so e cited and wanted to start doing parties her self. We ordered some oysters online along with this tool. My son used it and it worked perfectly. Wasn't concerned of him getting hurt. The handle is made to grip nicely and the blade is solid.

Simple and cheap oyster knives. We eat oysters once every couple of months so these work perfectly for us. Cheap option that works great for moderate use. Would definitely recommend. Shipping was great.

I used them on two separate events. They started spinning at the base, where the blade meets the handle, midway through the second event. I finished shucking my oysters but these knifes are done for. Need to buy new ones. You get what you paid for. Now, I will pay for something better so that it last me longer.

work nicely, solid; two sold in a set, could you make one with a much thinner blade? It worked well for some types of oysters, but for the one i like (Chesapeake) it's a bit challenging.. or am i using it wrong? please feel free to correct me.

I bought these less than 6 months ago, and the blades have fallen off the handle. I'd suggest spending more money on a good set rather than spending less and having to buy more. They were good while they lasted, then started getting loose after about 4 months. I shuck about once a week.

Work well as is but with a little modification, this thing is awesome at chucking oyster.
