Ten-Step Drawing: Animals: Learn to draw 75 animals in ten easy steps!

I love this book! The very first picture I drew was a bumblebee and it came out perfect! I used this on a greeting card I made with watercolors and pen and ink. First attempt and done! Although I do have some drawing experience I can get lost in the details too easily before even getting the basic shapes. So I find this step by step book very helpful. I think it would be great for beginners and you would get instant gratification and results.

I've always wanted to draw but it just never worked for me. I bought this book and gave it a shot. The steps are simple to follow and the results were far better than I expected. I highly recommend this for anyone who has wanted to draw but thought they couldn't.

My son loves it, easy enough for kids to follow. He has drawn some pictures that amaze me. Good selection of animals.

This is a really nice book. It's very detailed and simple for beginners. It is very helpful for those who are wanting to draw without alot of detail that normally is distracting.

My first attempt surprisingly revealed a recognizable animal, so I am confident that, with practice, I can learn to draw with this book. The instructions are easy to follow, as the author did a good job of explaining with step-by-step line drawings. I drew several pictures while reading 10 Step Drawing: Animals and was amazed as how easy it was. Although readers cannot expect to master the art of drawing with the first attempt, 10 Step Drawing: Animals will be a good reference to return to time and time again. I had a lot of fun with this book and I recommend it to readers of all skill levels and ages.

Ten-Step Drawing: Animals by Heather Kilgour makes drawing the animals you know and love easy! I’m a big fan of animals, I mean I got engaged at the National Zoo, but I wouldn’t call myself artistic. I love how this book has a vast variety in animals from pets all the way to aquatic animals. I love the color and detail on every page. Kilgour makes each step easy to follow. She makes it feel like anyone can draw and create. This is the perfect gift for any animal lover or someone who wants to learn more about drawing and creating. I am "art challenged" or drawing challenged, whichever so enjoy trying to draw from the children's books. This one is harder as the drawings are more intricate. I will keep working on it. Maybe someday I will feel like I can draw.
