UPDATE: I've now received 2 packages of the low salt Marmite, the seller emailed to send me another order & intended to claim from the carrier. Seller was great to deal with.I've still not received my order, no problems usually with Amazon many orders find us OK, seems to be an issue. Please hurry up & deliver, we are running out, not eating animal products, Marmite is a good form of iron & protein & I must have low or no salt items. This is a good product, not quite same as Marmite with more salt but a good alternative. I rated 1 star re non delivery so far very delayed.

I am a big marmite fan but these days more aware of all the salt additives in food. Thought I'd try this reduced salt marmite, thought it would possibly be not as good but I can't tell any difference in flavour, its a little more runny so watch that marmite dribble on the jar or else you'll be into what my family calls the 'marmite lid'. Where the lid glues itself to the jar with the power of marmite people allowed to run down the jar. Excellent product I will now make the permanent switch to reduced salt marmite.

I had discovered that there was a 'reduced salt' version of Marmite but had been unable to obtain any. Finding some on Amazon, I duly purchased and found this as tasty as the usual variety, about the same price and I am a happy customer. It arrived promptly, well and safely packaged!

Does this taste any different to normal Marmite? Well yes, I guess it is a bit less salty but it's not that different. So, if reducing salt intake is important it cannot hurt to opt for the lower salt version.

Could put off anyone who is not a vegan; because not everyone is one, and it could have the opposite effect to what you had intended (as a marketing ploy)!
