An excellent review of psychotherapy and learning disabilities
This book gives an invaluable insight into working therapeutically with people with learning disabilities. Whilst the focus is primarily on psychoanalytic psychotherapy, the careful and thoughtful consideration and presentation of a range of issues relevant for people with learning disabilities makes this a must read for therapists working from all theoretical perspectives. This is a book I recommend to trainee clinical psychologists new to the field of learning disabilities as well as colleagues from health and social care training backgrounds.

Would recommend.....
I would recommend this book to anyone in social care, a learning disability partnership, anyone working in a care home or anyone training in Arts Psychotherapies or talking therapies who work within the LD client group. A little window into the world of Learning disability and secondary handicap. A good read.
