Love this range hood. The light is very bright, the fan is very quiet, and the design is simple and easy to clean. Ours is connected to an outside duct, so the fan is very effective. Also fairly easy to install DIY.(The hood replaced our over-the-range microwave; the height was a safety hazard for the users in our family.)

This fan effectively removes fumes emitted by my gas range. The variety of speeds is excellent and the led light effectively illuminates the cooking area. I especially like the timer that automatically turns off the fan after use.

the overall fan looks nice, however, the led lights are too far forward and shine on the knobs (too bright), so that it is difficult to read the numbers on the burner knobs and the rocker switch is cheap plastic fitting that sticks out of the hole! Once it is installed...which is definitely a two person job, you sure don't want to take it down. Fan is fairly quiet and the stainless is nice looking. Overall it's nicer looking than the old one, but I would prefer a light that screws in like the cheaper versions of this hood have! Broan, I wish you would make your product with the same quality switches that were on the 20 year old hood this replaced--they fit well and worked well--(that would be a $70.00 hood today!)

This hood range replaced a GE slate microwave that just couldn’t handle the stove heat and cooking “smoke”. A very easy installation. Lining up with existing outside vent took a couple attempts, but fits perfect. The light is bright and fan is quiet but effective. It matches our 7 year old slate GE appliances perfectly. I’m so glad we decided to do this as part of kitchen makeover. My only complaint would be that it has only one light setting. A less bright option would be nice.

Works like a charm. Sucks all air out and when cooking. No smoke alarms going off when I cook.

looks very good-I wish I would have paid attention to the diameter of the exhaust vent as it is 7 inches. Mine was 5 inches and it was a little bit tricky trying to adapt from 7 to 5 inches. It would also be nice if the led lights could be dimmed as they are very bright.

It’s clearly my fault but.. The light is either on or off and doesn’t have a high/low switch. I thought that was pretty universal today.Also the cabinet doors on either side will hit the side of the hood if not opened carefully..Neither of the above were a problem with the less expensive hood it replaced.It does have a strong fan and it is attractive. I actually chose this one as it doesn’t have the on/off switches on the front.If you want bright light on your stove top? Its fantastic!

I didn’t even open the box. On the box it states 3.5 sones and one level lighting. The description on Amazon says 1.5 sones and two light levels.
