This book claims to tell you how to use these herbs alone or in combination and provide formulas for the tonics. While the herbs are named, the relevant percentages required are not. Mixing equal amounts of the herbs mentioned is not recommended, would prove expensive and not achieve the desired results.The book is a good starting point for further research, or for buying the named products but not if you were wanting to make your own.

Unless you want to spend $200 or much more on a textbook, this is by far the best TCM Tonic book on the market. This book is a must-have for anyone interested in traditional tonic herbalism. This book covers the basic principles of traditional Chinese Medicine and discusses many of the most important tonic herbs used for thousands of years in TCM. Please do yourself a favor, buy this book, and read it at least ten times.
