Note: This is NOT an adhesive tape. It sticks to itself only.I first found this tape about five years ago. I watched a guy demonstrate it by mending a broken wood hammer handle and then using the hammer. While that's extreme, there are things about this that I find indispensable.It acts as an electrical and thermal insulator.It works in extreme cold (I live in Alaska).It retains a good grip once applied.I most commonly use this for wrapping handles on my tool, especially ones that are expected to be used in wet or cold weather. Metal handles are much easier to use in sub-zero temperatures with a good wrap. It remains "grippy" even when wet. It bonds very tightly once wrapped and let sit for a bit. It doesn't wear or corrode. As far as I can tell, it resists saltwater with no apparent negative effects.This is a staple item in my junk drawer, my car, and my camper.

Outstanding tape for wrapping outdoor radio coaxial cables or anything that needs to be protected from water, elements. It is dramatically superior to any coax sealer or sticky nasty mess that I've used in the past 30 years. This is actually enjoyable to apply and no sticky residue or mess whatsoever. It wraps even tight areas and angles with ease and stays where you wrap it without coming loose.I wrapped three outside LMR400 and 600 coaxial cable ground connections and after all this time this tape still looks perfect despite heat and heavy rains.I'll never go back to nasty overpriced coax seal.

Bought what I thought was going to be a decent water ski handle but after the first time on the lake it had already started to rip the foam handle. Decided to try this stuff on it for better grip and it seems to be holding up well. It isnt the most friendly stuff to work with, having to unroll and then peel a backing tape off, but it delivers on its promise. Adheres to itself very well and does not leave any residue.

This is actually a really good product. I didn't realize what I bought at first. This stuff will stick to NOTHING except for itself. It is designed to stick to itself, I just didn't realize it when I bought it. Once it sticks to itself its all over...it is stuck for life! I used this tape to wrap a sharp pipe edge on a raft rowing frame to ensure the edge didn't damage my raft tubes. Looks like it works pretty well for that.

My CV boot on my truck axle cracked and grease was leaking. After I injected some grease in the boot, I used this tape to wrap the boot. Due to the shape of the boot, it takes trial and error to get it right. You will have to wrap it around many times caused you don't want it to come off when the axle spins at high velocity. After the tape bond, for good measure, I used zip tie just in case the tape come off. Its been nearly a year and 1500+ miles later, its still holding well and no leak. Hopefully it will last sometime before I permanently replace the axle.

This is the BEST I have bought EVER! Fridge water line(copper) got a kink in it and water leaked/sprayed everywhere! This tape was EXTREMELY stretchable, VERY THICK & didnt rip at all!!! It auto fused itself together once wrapped and did NOT come Apart! If you want to remove it onse wrapped...your gonna have to cut it bc it will NOT unravel, which is a great thing!!! This fixed my copper pipe to the point i didn't have to worry about it again. No leak, no drip, nada. Also, you can use a knife or scissors to cut it down to smaller sizes and make it last longer. 1 roll lasted me an ENTIRE YEAR!!! THE BEST ON THE MARKET!

Had the grey water PVC pipe on my camper crack at the joint. This is a non pressurized line. Was not looking forward to breaking out the hack saw, and them piecing together the new line. Like every other "honey do" project what seems like a 1 or 2 hour job would have turned into a 4-5 hour job with 3-4 trips back and forth to Home Depot.1st I mixed some epoxy (the 2 part stuff) and coated the cracked joint and bit of surrounding area. Let this harden and then applied this tape. The thing that helped me was to cut the strip (not too long) and then counter roll the tape, then start wrapping (TIGHT!) and as you are wrapping the clear plastic rolls off. Kinda hard to conceptualize in writing but once you are sitting in front of your project you will see what I mean.Bottom line, it appears to me this stuff is KILLER and saved me hours and hours of re-piping on my RV.

Used this tape to wrap my old dumbbell handles to thicken the grip. It worked perfectly. A little tension during wrapping and it adhered very evenly and sealed nicely at the end. Has not come loose at all. Lots of grip and no slippage. In fact I find it even more grippy than the knruling on the bar and it doesn't get slippery with sweat.

Bought this to repair a hole in the hose. Followed the instructions to the letter and tried the hose a couple of weeks later, but water was spraying out either side of the repair. Shame because I really wanted it to work.

This item arrived just as described, and it has even surpassed my expectations!I would definitely buy this item again!

Must stop shopping at Amazon.

Good for waterproofing outdoor electrical plugs but sticks to itself and breaks easily, so have to be careful while using.
