Very thin wool…
This is rather thin, grainy wool, where the layers show as you knit, and make it hard to knit with the entire threads…It is lovely and soft, and great value for money, just not for me for products that I’m creating at present…

Soft but frustrating
I purchased this yarn as recommended by Sirdar to knit a baby garment. I am pleased with the softness, quality and excellent colour range of this yarn. The finished garment is lovely. My dislike is the frustration of uncurling the yarn as I worked. It is a crepe yarn with the distinct twist as you knit yet a good finish. I'd forgotten how I usually avoid crepe yarn because of this, however I would purchase again because of its other qualities - though only for small garments or maybe crochet.

Lovely soft, smooth yarn
Lovely yarn. Feels soft and smooth and is nice to work with. It's a bit like working with cotton as you get similar stitch definition in crochet, but it has a smoother, silkier finish. It does split a tiny bit, but not so much as to be annoying. The colour "Fog" is a soft pale grey. In the photo it looks like it has slightly beige tones, but it's more of a silvery grey in real life. I'm making a baby blanket with it (based on one in Call the Midwife) and it's coming up lovely - see the photos. As it's machine washable, it's practical as well as pretty. There is a nice range of colours in this yarn, so it's likely to be one I'll come back to for other projects.

Lovely yarn to use and easy care after too
Works well with both crochet hooks and knitting needles also to thread for needle pointing projects.Correct needle/hook is mandatory to allow smooth ease of project being worked on in addition to good tension in use. Washes very well in a normal capacity machine load with no stretching or distortion of item additionally becomes more softer to the touch after also. One of my top yarns I will be using again with no issues.
