AGreat family style "Old World Traditional" meal
This quickly became a favorite for our Sunday friends and family dinners, especially during the spring and summer months, when we can eat outdoors by the pool. The recipes are plentiful and adjustible to your families taste. I began with a 22 inch then bought the 14 inch, we always make both, the 22 inch "Paella de la Valencia" seafood and the 14 inch all meat, sausage and chicken for the non fish eaters.I would recommend that a purchase of the 14, 18, 22 or 36 pan would be best, Why those sizes you ask? Well, Weber kettle comes in those sizes, the pan fits right on top of the appropriate grill (you do need an airgap between the pan and lip of the grill or it will snuff your heat) and anyone can cook this amazing dish to your own taste, in a method as close to tradition as possible (without a fire on the ground) in your own backyard. Oh yea the red handle means HOT, someone else recommended good grill gloves and I second that. I use welding gloves, but I already had them. I also wrap the handle with a kitchen towel or washcloth while it is on the table to remind our guests that the handle is HOT also. The only other things needed to make this dish properly is Spanish "Bomba" rice, saffron and a long (20"+ recommended)spatula. I have not seen these items cheaper than Amazon anywhere else I shop near home, you're gonna want to make this stuff pretty quick after you get your pan so may as well order it now.Have fun

Paella pan
Good quality pan on stovetop and oven safe. Just a little discoloration after first wash.

Love it. Using a pan like this is NOT ...
I purchased the 18" Paella Pan. Love it. Using a pan like this is NOT for a beginner. You need to know technique and you need to know how to manage the cooking surface unless you can supply even heat to the bottom of the pan. I made a Paella using my Weber Grill and this new 18" pan. I fed 11 people out of this 18" pan - I am now going to by the 14" to make a quicker Paella version once a week for my kids.

This thing rusts too quickly
This paella pan rusts very quickly, even with little use. It certainly does not stand the test of time.Real person, Leo, NY

Sticky sticker!
The pan I received did not come with the "Informative pamphlet with each pan, which contains two recipes" so I hope there was nothing crucial in it. Worse than that though was the sticker in the bottom of the pan (visible in Amazon's image, toward the right). It is the annoying kind you have to scrape with your fingernail and then liberally apply Goo Gone to get off. Why do manufacturers still use those horrible cheap labels? I hope it cooks better than it was packaged...

Disappointed - very thin material
It is just OK.First the label was glued on with what seemed like Gorilla glue and took a lot of effort to remove. The material is much thinner than expected and does not distribute heat very well. It had definite hot spots even on low heat.I will return this and look for another manufacturer that makes a pan using heavier gauge material.

Bon à jeter!!!
Après une utilisation, la poêle est complètement rouillée. Et même en cuisant la paella… une odeur désagréable!! Ça a gâché ma paella.

Authentic and Best
Great quality at this price, great quality and exactly the right shape to get a good paella without too much stirring (in deeper pans you have to stir it, but that can ruin the rice - these pans are designed especially for making perfect paella.Make sure you use extra virgin olive oil the first time you use it, pour some in (just enough to coat the bottom), heat it up (not too hot), then take it off the heat and let it cool. Your pan is now ready to use. This pan is perfect for a paella for four people - or for two very hungry people, who might like paella again the day after (paella keeps well if you put it in a suitable container in the fridge, just use the pan to reheat it again the next day, add a little more water or lemon juice to freshen it up).Authentic Spanish Paella Pan!FIVE stars
