BEWARE - You will need a special piece if your bed is around 11"
I purchased these after I realized that two of the middle legs on the West Elm slat bed in my guest room were damaged. I didn't immediately attempt to attach the bed claw as the guest bed was not being used. I just went to install them because I have guests coming next weekend, and discovered that these do not fit the height I need - 11". I thought I was doing something wrong because these are advertised as being adjustable and fitting beds between 6" and 14" , and my bed is smack dab in the middle of that, so I watched the youtube video from the manufacturer. The person in the video acknowledges that this is a problem! Specifically, the bed claw leg comes with an extender for higher beds. The problem is that the leg is too short for my bed without the extender, but too tall for my bed if you add the extender in. Notably, the youtube video was posted November 2017. I purchased the legs in November 2018 - so the manufacturer is fully aware of this issue but doesn't mention it in the listing. In the youtube video, the person says that if this happens to you, you should call them. I called the 800 number and it just rang and rang. In fairness, this is all happening on a Saturday, but it's still pretty disconcerting that they wouldn't even have a voicemail message at their business. I'm sure this product is fine if you have the right height bed, but it's incredibly misleading to suggest that this product can fit the beds it claims it can, because it cannot. Unfortunately, it's too late for me to return these through Amazon.UPDATE - The seller sent me the shorter leg pieces I needed to be able to install in my bed. They seller sent them at no charge to me, and they went out the next business day after I made the complaint. I have installed them, and they seem very sturdy, so so far, so good. I'm happy with the seller's response fixing this issue, and so far I am happy with the product. However, I am still knocking a star off because I think the issue should have been made clear in the listing.

They work well when correctly installed
In 2007, I bought a new queen size "sleigh" bed frame and a new mattress and box spring from the same store. Nobody told me that the mattress required center support. The store employees set-up the bed, and they did not install any center supports. At the time, I thought everything was fine. The sleigh bed frame had four wooden 1"x3" slats which run from side to side (a queen mattress is 80 inches long, and 60 inches wide, so the wooden slats were 60 inches long). In 2010, when the mattress became so uncomfortable (because my wife and I were rolling together into the middle of the bed), I bought a new mattress and box spring. I also added four 1"x4" slats in addition to the original 1"x3" slats (eight slats total). I hoped that this would provide better support for the bed.I divorced my wife in 2014, so it wasn't an issue until 2016 when my girlfriend started to sleep with me.Again... we would roll together in the middle.I bought a new mattress and box spring in 2018. This time, I read all of the warrantee conditions for the mattress and box spring. This is when I learned that the mattress/box warrantee REQUIRES "center support".I thought, "Damn, why didn't the manufacturer of the 'sleigh' bed frame include center supports?"So, I went to Amazon to search for bed frame center supports. Here is what I did:I installed an additional 1"x4" piece of wood which is screwed to the other slats. This piece of wood runs from the head of the bed to the foot of the bed. Then, I screwed this product (center support legs) to this new 1x4 piece of wood. Next, I measured the distance from the newly-installed piece of wood to the floor, and I adjusted the center support legs accordingly. These new legs support the center of my mattress and box-spring. I believe that this will prevent the failures that I have experienced in the past.It works perfectly. We don't roll together into the middle of the mattress.Hallelujah!

Great product!
Our queen-size mattress’s warranty requires a center support leg. I ended up buying three of these legs to be on the safe side. They were easy to screw into the centers of the 2x4s the mattress rests on. I disn’t even have to use a drill to start the hole, just a screwdriver. I didn’t need to use the lincluded leg extenders since our mattress sits less than ten inches from the floor. I’m proud to say that I am a 61-year-old woman and accomplished this all by myself, including moving the mattress and the foundation.

Do not purchase
so I’ve been sleeping on these for about two weeks now and they are sliding and one of them is bent and broken. I can now only sleep at the foot of my bed where the supports haven’t broken yet. I was really hoping that these would work out but they haven’t. The picture above is what happened before it actually bent. So disappointing. The rubber stickies didn’t help keep them in place.

Sturdy
Had to replace 3 steel slats that had bent and broken over the decades. Crafted new slats from oak 2 x 4s and attached one of these to each. Excellent construction. These are made of heavier guage steel than I expected. The bolt size is 3/8" The only weak point is the threaded insert is made of brittle plastic and will crack and crumble if you try to do something silly, like slide the bed across the floor, especially carpet, without dismantling the bed first. I DO NOT recommend you use the coupler and extension rod. If your slat is that high, build it out with wood. Keep the distance from the floor to the insert less than 2". The bending moment withstand of the threaded inserts is very low. One should of course never slide a bed across a floor without dismantling it anyway, especially if there is one or more legs in the middle on a slat.

Product is of very good quality. It was easy to attach
Product is of very good quality. It was easy to attach. The nuts need to be attached so they lock in place -before assembling make sure the nut is on the right way round or it isn't secure. So far am very happy with the product. Sturdy and durable. If your bed is on laminate wooden floors place rubber mats under bed and any support legs to stop movement and unwanted damage to your flooring and bed

I would recommend a better base over these supports
Hard to fit and made the bed uncomfortable where some of the slats were supported and others weren't. I would recommend a better base over these supports.

Just the job!
A perfect, sturdy, replacement for the flimsy plastic support that was originally supplied with our bed.

Five Stars
Does the job and added an extra two years of life on my bed.

Good does the job, but do not do any exercise on the bed.
Easy to install and worked fine. However after the bed got some 'usage' the metal rod broke the plastic insert. I will have a go at fixing it but reckon it is now defunct.
