Rainbow Sandals Men's East Cape Molded Rubber Sandal

I love my rainbow sandals and had my previous pair for easily 8 to 10 years.I wear a size 11 shoe, and here are my approximate measurements of the sandal.Length: 11 7/8"Width front: 4 7/8"Width heal: 3 5/8"I was super pleased to find out that rainbow still carries the exact same sandal I bought years ago. I can say from experience at these will handle about anything, wet, dry, sand, pavement, etc.

I love these flip flops. I wore a pair daily, often for miles and mild hiking. I only tossed a pair because after a year of heavy use, not because they stunk or too wore down, it just seemed time and i was getting sick of brown.I tried ordering the highly celebrated/promoted/reccomemded rainbows recently, double arced thinking it might be fun to try something new. Totally aweful, material quality seemed lower, they were both too tight yet literally flew off of me. I couldn't spend time breaking in some thing that wouldn't even stay on me.I promptly returned those and hunted these down. They feel great to wear, i dont know why they dont get more attention. Im breaking them in fast and now i think i should have just replaced my old pair immediately.

If you've never owned a pair of Rainbows then you've never really mourned the loss of a pair of sandals you my friend have missed out. My last pair lasted 8 years. My wife finally figured out a way to throw them out without me noticing, yeah that's right I was holding on to them for memories sake. Those dudes saw the world, well a good part of it. They knew me during my bachelor days, through the courtship of my wife and three years of marriage. I was honestly lost when the strap on the left one broke. But now I have a new pair and it's only been a couple of weeks and they're just perfect. I live an active lifestyle and most of my hobbies are what others would call work. I can do just about anything in these.

I love Rainbow sandals, more specifically the East Cape rubber sandal. I find their sizes tend to be a 1/2 size to small, so I purchase a little larger (I have a 10 1/2 size foot, so I get the size 11 instead versus getting the size 10) and get the wider version also. I have never had an East Scape sandal fall a part on me, even though the sandals have a mediocre guarantee compared to other Rainbow brand sandals; 6 months versus Lifetime for many others. The sandals are somewhat rigid, but my physician stated that "floppy sandals provide less protection for my feet/arches." I agree with other reviews that these sandals last a long time, mine usually last a year, but in Arizona, I'm afforded more time to wear them without getting cold, and although the old ones look bad, they're still comfortable. I've had mixed reactions to the sandals when they get wet, I personally think they squeak and slide around under my feet, but not to the point of making them un-wearable like cheaper sandals. The only thing I can complain about these sandals are that they're hard to find, that is I couldn't find them on Rainbow's website or others, fortunately Amazon still holds true. Hope this review helps, I would strongly urge to try this brand, I prefer them to other sandals; reef, teva, sketchers, etc. But that's my opinion and maybe not be yours..

Well, what to say. I was told before I purchased my first pair of Rainbows that they would last "forever". Now, 4 years later, although they still work, the leather parts are cracked and will probably break in a year or two. For $40 I thought the sandals wouldn't degrade so fast. Keep in mind they've been all over and in the ocean a few times. Just expected more. Oh, and Rainbow's warranty only covers manufactured defects, not normal wear and tear.

I have had a pair of Rainbows forever and it was finally time to refresh. I tried this version, which has more rubber than my old ones. I actually prefer the comfy fit of these vs the ones with less rubber. But I use them for travel, and they are much heavier than my old ones. With airlines out of their mind with fees these days, the weight was just too much. So I use these at home and am still rocking my 8 year old Rainbows on the road.

I was hesitant to pay so much for a pair of flip flops as I hardly wear them but after my last few pairs either broke, felt uncomfortable or hurt my feet afterwards I bought these for beach and pool days. I actually find myself wearing these around the house now! They are very sturdy and comfortable, fit unbelievably well and I can even drive in them. I guess you get what you pay for and I wish I had looked into this brand a long time ago.

My wife and I have worn these sandals for over 40 years. They last longer and wear better than any other brand of thong or flip flop type. Not unusual for us to wear them walking on slippery reefs and round round rocks in the ocean. Rainbow will even repair them at no cost with some small stipulations. Great company.
