Perfect crimps!
In the past used tricks like trimming the pipe and folding inward. Wanted to improve the outcome and process which guided me to crimper. With the reviews and price difference I bought these crimpers. Absolutely impressed!! Crimpers are very smooth to operate. Was surprised at how little you needed to squeeze the handle to achieve a factory looking crimp. Was able to crimp a female end on duct boot and turn into a male end. The fresh crimp slide right inside another female fitting and looked very professional. Also worked great for customizing straight pipes with joints.Highly recommended!!

Worked as expected and seems very well built! Crimped my downspouts with ease
I redid some downspouts with this adding transitions to 4" pvc pipe ( as should have been done by the installer) being able to cut and crimp on my own was great! and some of the original crimps that had been performed poorly were easily adjusted properly using this tool.I highly recommend getting this quality tool - not the cheapest but definately well made and made the project quick!

Very Happy with this tool; Made in USA!
Is it possible to love a crimping tool? Now that I have used this one, I would have to say yes. I really did not want to spend the money on a tool just to make one pipe slide into another, so I tried to do my crimp with regular pliers. After failing at this for about an hour, I ended up with a bent up sheet metal boot that STILL wouldn't fit into the supply pipe. So I broke down and bought this tool. It really was more money then I wanted to spend, but it is top quality, made in the USA (Love the little window cut into the handle that allows the "Made In the USA" stamp to show through. Nice touch that shows pride in U.S. craftsmanship. See second picture) . Anyway, I went over my "botched plier" crimping disaster with this tool and a couple of minutes later I had straightened out my bent up boot, and it slid right in as if it had been crimped flawlessly at the factory. Wonderful! Thought I might need a new one, but this tool saved me the money I would have spent replacing it. Highly recommend. Will look at Malco first for tools now, and disregard the higher price . This tool will probably last forever, and I know that I will remember the quality of it long after I forget how much I paid for it.

Comes in handy when crimping galvanized steel and aluminum duct pipes!
I haven't had any other crimper to compare this to, but it's really come in handy working on my old house's ductwork, and when installing a dryer vent. Be mindful that the side matters, with the three blade side being outward crimps it one direction, and the two blade side being outward crimps it the opposite. So read the instructions when you get it and it'll be a life saver. Heavy duty and solid quality, which I would hope for given the price, so I recommend it.

Worth every penny
I’m an HVAC technician and use these mainly for crimping chimney caps when switching out CV water heaters to PV or installing Combi boilers where the chimney will be abandoned. I’ve used a few other brands and none of them compare to this one. Especially Wiss that one was complete garbage as it doesn’t cut deep. This cuts nice and deep with a great locking mechanism.

well known brand
This was exactly as described, a hand tool you can quickly and easily make a crimped end fitting

A few dollars more than the others, but worth it.
I'm *not* a ventilation guy, but occasionally I need to crimp some ends for fitment on some ductwork. I didn't like that other much cheaper crimpers were randomly mashing up my duct fittings and not giving me the outcome I needed. The Malco for some reason just gave me better results, has nice sharp interlocking blades (probably it's best attribute) and gave a better result than all the others I've tried. The most frustrating thing you can experience when doing that ductwork is a tool that will not perform up to expectations, and this seems to be a buy-once kind of tool. I was recommended this tool by my ventilation subcontractor and have not been unsatisfied with it since. Just open your wallet and free that trapped money ;-) Seriously though, if you can afford it, this is a solid choice and will not let you down, give consistent results and result in less time spent bending tin, compared to others I have had opportunity to try. I hope this helps.
