Sugar Flowers

Easy to follow instructions. Read through the instructions first, assemble the correct tools needed and you will be on your way to producing some very lovely sugar flowers. I have been making sugar flowers for quite some time and I have followed several tutorials, written instructions, etc. in my learning process. This book is by far the best set of instructions yet, and I learned a few new things that makes the job faster and easier, with better results.

Nicholas Lodge is one of the best instructors on the planet. He has the rare ability to convey complicated instructions on a basic level, without making the reader feel stupid.His steps are logical and easy to follow. One consistently gets a beautiful finished product.Well worth the money.

I had heard that Lodge was great with the flowers but I found this one uninspiring. It wasn't expensive but I also don't think I would ever use the info.....someone really into the floral part of decorating may like it better.

Though, it is an early work of Nicholas Lodge, I was expecting more from this book.

As a first time beginner, I was turning out stunning Peonys, Orchids and even Bamboo!Nicholas Lodge has shown the detail of several flowers from all over the world. There is even advice on how to use simple household items to create the shapes and detail of petals.It may take the average American a minute to realise that a "Cocktail Stick" is a Toothpick and "White Fat" is Crisco, but beginners should find this book very useful. Put the 5 Star Finish on a cake...Realistic flowers made of sugar!
