Audrey Bunny

All time favorite children's book. We buy this for all friends with girl's on their 1st birthday.

I bought this book for a friend who lost her baby boy two months after he was born due to organs not forming properly, etc., similar to Angie's daughter. My friend is pregnant with twins now, with her son's (would-be) 1 yr birthday coming up. I thought this would be the perfect gift to give her, in honor of her baby that passed away, but also in preparation for her twins girls coming. So I ended up ordering a book and bunnies for them. When the bunnies came in the mail my 3 yr old immediately insisted that I put a mark on her bunny's chest like the bunny in the book. She loves playing with her Audrey Bunny like Caroline in the book. I love the bigger picture message of each of us having our unique makeup, imperfections and all, created by God and loved by Him... looking forward to reading this through the years and being able to use Angie's discussion questions at the end of the book as a springboard for those conversations.

If you are looking for wholesomeness for your children to grow up listening to and reading on their own as they get older, THIS illustrator: Breezy Brookshire. She did the pictures for "Audrey Bunny" and she is fabulous!I remember wanting to buy this book when it first came out, but life got busy and I lost track of where/what book it was... until this last week. Now I get to share this book with my 2 little girls!

We know a young couple we love and consider friends, who's first baby passed away at birth. I couldn't think of anything to give her to let her know that how much we loved her and cared. I finally thought I would give her this book and I'm so glad I did. It brought a piece of healing and hope. Audrey Bunny is beautifully illustrated and sweetly tells the story that, while our lives may all look different, last longer or shorter than others, they are none the less just as valuable, just as loved, and just as precious. I was blessed when our friend wrote us back and said, "Just wanted to send a note of thanks for the sweet and meaningful book you sent. It will always be treasured. I know my children will enjoy it someday too"

As a school counselor, this book is extremely helpful in showing kids how wonderful they are, flaws and all. I love it! I read it aloud to my 14 yr old at home, and we both had tears in our eyes at the end. The message of the book touched us both and transcends age and experience. We all have felt (or do feel) like our flaws make us 'less than', but this book so perfectly reminds us that we are all made by the powerful mighty hands of God, and He never makes mistakes. The illustrations were so detailed and beautiful. I might have had excuses to order this book for my students, but I really bought it just for me!! Love Angie Smith as an author and inspiring person.

This is a very good book. My six-year-old daughter loved the sweet story. The bunny worries about her "imperfection" the whole time and thinks the little girl won't love her when she discovers it. But, the girl knew it was there the whole time and loved the bunny so big because of it.

We love Audrey Bunny! Such a sweet story! I’m not sure we’ve made it through a reading without some tears, just precious.

I don't know how to rate this book. It is a beautiful story with lovely pictures, but I can't even say the title without tearing up and knowing the backstory made it difficult to read the story without blubbering through the second half. My girls enjoy it and have decided it's a better book for dad to read than mama.

The most beautiful book with such a lovely message to children, not only does my daughter love it but i love to read it to her.Its easy to see though each page the story behind this book is truly from angie smiths heart.I would say this book is from an age 5 approximately, i love the chance of children to be given chance to reflect on themselves at the end of the story.The pictures are also stunning.

A beautiful story of a little girl who chooses and loves a little bunny not only despite of its imperfection but because of it. Its has been beautifully written from the heart by Angie smith and wonderfully designed by Breezy Brookshire. I am so pleased to own this book and look forward to sharing it with the family for years to come.

Lovely book - with a lovely story - suitable for a girls baptism aged upto 5 years with reference to a Bible reading at the end... lovely ...

Enjoyed reading this book - a sweet tale that has a nice story with a happy ending. Highly recommended - 4 stars
