Q: What size for a 12 year old please?

So sorry they are for Christmas presents, so unable to tell how they fit. Just by looking seem to think that they should fit an average 12 year old. Actually bought for younger boys and will probably be very generous!

Yeah Im sure they would, I bought them for my nephew who’s 14 years old, they fit him

Yes they fit adults, I'm a medium build, 5'8" male, I bought size XL, arms and wrists are fine, knee pads aren't the most comfortable but fit ok and do the job

I got the medium size for my 12 year old granddaughter, they fitted fine.
