Amazing pick... get a few !
Super thick power pick! I had been using a 2-3mm pick for guitar and mandolin for a few years, and I figured that was thick enough for me... until I got these. They are absolutely perfect for the gypsy sound, lots of downstrokes picking somewhat close to the bridge, great sound. I tried these out on the mandolin and switched from a Wegen pick I had been using for 4 years. I can get such easy volume from the size of the pick, but really good tone as well because of the awesome bevels on the tip. People are always freaked out how thick they are, and after 2 minutes playing them they forget about the size and just want one! I've had expensive Faux tortoise picks and even a real tortoise shell pick made from an antique comb (lost it in a lake sitting on a dock =( These picks are cheap and sound sweeeeet... and I have a few backups and giveaways if someone falls in love with the pick. Spread the love, keep pickin'

Very very nice
I got these a couple days ago but man thy sound and feel great, the pick just glides off of my strings and it's really thick, I believe it is .5 mm, yet the pick itself is extremely light, and the tone, oh man the tone I get with these picks is just great, I have a G5422TDCG Electromatic Gretsch with thomastik-infeld 12's flatwounds on them and my guitar seriously sounds like that signature jazz tone everybody knows

Different sound than your average pick
I've never tried the Wegan picks, but was told from numerous sources that these were nearly identical for a small fraction of the price. I enjoy trying new picks to see if they can give me a different sound, and these guys certainly give a different sound. (Louder, little duller)They aren't going to be my goto pick, but from time to time they might fit my needs. Plus, being larger they protect my index finger better, which I have a habit of dragging along the strings. It is also worth mentioning, that if you're a picker, rather than a strummer, then you'll have a hard time with these, which is one of the main reasons these won't be my standard pick. While I'm more of a strummer, I do enjoy the freedom to play a solo or an intro.

Almost in Love.
Oh Mr. Dunlop I'm almost fully committed to this pick. First off, it's now my main pick. Let's be clear, this is a gypsy pick. I like it better than the Wegen. I like the angle at the picking point. I seems like it could have a profile that could be fully reversible, but you've added a slightly greater indentation for the thumb side. I think this is annoying, because you have to feel which side to hold it on before you start picking. Why not have it fully reversible. Also, AARRGH! Why is it every pick I choose has to be black? Why on earth would anyone make a black pick? So we lose more in the middle of gigs and have to buy more? White please.

Nearly as Good as Wegen at About 1/6 the Price
I like the Wegen Gypsy Pick model but think I paid about $20 for my last one. Picks being what they are I lost it of course. I've searched for lots of other replacements (some nearly as expensive) but I'm done searching now. These picks play very, very similarly to the Wegen and cost about $3 apiece instead of $20. They even have that (to me) disagreeable very slight "chirp" when they hit the string which I think I've heard in just about every pick over 3 mm thickness. Anyway, I think if I had started using these picks first instead of the Wegen and then tried the Wegen I'd be saying "the Wegen plays almost as well as the Dunlop Gypsy model"--it's that close.Plus, cooler black color! Great job Dunlop.
