ASICS Men's Gel-Nimbus¿ 20 SP

I’ve been using the ASICS Gel-Nimbus Shoes since they were on model 13. And these continue to show they know how to make a great shoe.It’s not like others, with this type of sole it provides a soft squishy bottom that conforms to your foot, but also provides nice support while doing what you need to do.I’ve noticed they tend to last the entire year through daily exercise and jogging. I will be buying another pair of these once these get about 150-200 miles on them.

I’m an Asics connoisseur and these Gel-Nimbi are the most comfortable running shoes I’ve purchased in 3 years. These replace any number of Asics running shoes I purchased through Amazon in 2015. The quality so far is top not with no messy seams or thread sticking out. These are visually very striking with the hi-tech mesh fabric. I traditionally wear a 10.5-11 Medium shoe and always order my Asics one full size up so these 11.5’s fit perfect. They always do! Now, has Asics fixed their reliability issues? They’ve done away with the multiple sectioned soles (I would always lose the back heel section and had to constantly glue it back on) and now have a one-piece sole that is very conservative compared with Gel-Nimbuses of past. I’m wearing them right now and I don’t want to take them off! 🤪

I have foot fasciitis, this shoes can reduce the pressure for my foot.

Update:8/30/19 I now have 2 pairs of nimbus 20 10.5 extra wide and they are great! But asics only makes the wide and extra wide in the carbon black model. I had to get extra wide to come the closest to fitting like nimbus 18. I would give 5 stars but it shouldn't be that difficult to find comfort in newer models from the same manufacturer. I have a pair of asics nimbus 18 size 10.5 standard width and they fit perfect. I can be on my feet 10 hours and they don't hurt. I then purchased nimbus 19 size 10.5 and they were way too small in length and width. sent them back. Then after reading reviews I realized that many people had the same problem with the nimbus 19. People also seemed to have a similar problem with the nimbus 20 not fitting in width. I really appreciate that the nimbus 18 were so comfortable all day and fit perfect. Anyway I tried the nimbus 20 size 11 and they were just a little to long, sent back and now I have the nimbus 20 size 10.5 WIDE and they fit ok. When I compared my nimbus 18 size 10.5 to my nimbus 20 size 10.5 wide, I found that the nimbus 18 are wider by 2 mm. The nimbus 18 regular is wider than the nimbus 20 wide. In my opinion asics may have decided to shave a couple millimeters off the product to save money in the manufacturing. The nimbus 20 does not fit as comfortably as the nimbus 18 either. The nimbus 20 wide is still more narrow at the toe than the 18 was. The length is fine. I am on my feet at least 10 hours a day and need shoes that are comfortable all day. The nimbus 20 feels comfortable so far. I have not spent an entire day working in them yet. I will update that after a few days in them

I purchased these for my husband, not for running, but for a work shoe, since he drives a truck for a large beverage company and is on his feet a lot throughout a typical 10-12 hour work day. His boots were just too hot for Arkansas summers. I already own a pair of Nimbus 18 for women, and I absolutely love them. They are the most comfortable athletic shoe I've ever owned. I do not run, but I am active. I initially purchased a 12.5 EE. He wears a 12 wide, but after reading other reviews, I decided to go up 1/2 size. The length fit well, but the EE was still too narrow. We exchanged for a 12.5 EEEE, and the fit is good. So far, he is very satisfied with the shoe for the intended purpose.

I bought these shoes in March of 2018 after an ACL replacement, it was recommended by my physical therapist for proper recovery and training my foot to land properly, not pronated.To this day, these shoes look and feel amazing, and I'm not gentle with them. I've done lots of weekend mechanic work on my vehicles, anywhere from basic maintenance (oil changes and such) to recently a full front end rebuild, and I replaced the front axle on my jeep. I've taken them to the beach, I walk A LOT with them, they're the shoes I beat up. I have the Red and Blue pair, the white is still white sole and still spongy! The tread is worn off the bottom mostly, but I feel like that's to be expected after that long of moderate use. I daily a pair of Red Wing Boots for work.I'm finally laying this pair to rest and ordering a pair of Kayano 29 Lites. Here's to another 5 years!

Just put em on.Go a half size larger with the Numbus 20's! My big toe is close to touching the front of shoe but isn't. I will order a half size larger next time cause I like a little more wiggle room for my big toe. Feel,is like walking on jelly fish,nice n squishy with enough bounce return? This new jacquard mesh material up front feels more durable. I like em right out of the box,good sign. Material around ankle opening and tongue is new,feels more durable. Usually the previous material they used in the surounding ankle area would fall apart after removing,putting on shoe after a month. New shoe laces are alittle springy,have a little stretch. Will be using these for walking at work delivering Fedex Express packages. Less ankle support than kayano, I think, but damn comfy n squishy/springy. Get half size larger!

Due to left knee surgeries and replacement, I am unable to run any longer. I have two pair of the Asics Men's Gel-Nimbus 20 silver, charcoal grey size 10 and they are a perfect fit and comfortable for walking. They are subdued in colour which suits me just fine as they are a little more dressy. I also appreciate the metal eyelets for the lacing.
