This item is not Legos, so they do not align exactly as those. Having said that, I put this together with my 5 year old grandson.He loved it. You must work together on a table or sturdy flat surface. Work one section together at a time. You may have to take breaks to do something, so don't put it where other little people can access the pieces or tear it down. Yes, there are many small parts and I recommend a Ziplock bag or something of that nature to house parts when not putting together. With so many little parts you can easily lose them and it is sad to not have a piece when you need it for the integrity of the whole staying together. If you are an impatient person then get big mega blocks not something with a million tiny pieces. If you are older and wear readers, then you will definitely need them for this. Take your time, put something together until it clicks, and make sure you take pictures. You will be so proud of your project that you and your little guy or gal did together patiently.

I read the other reviews after my purchase... so I was a bit concerned. I don't know what has improved since the last review but this item is wonderful! Love Mega Blok designs. There were a couple pieces that were a tight fit but not impossible to manage. It's a sturdy piece and really nice looking. I'll be buying the companion sets as well. Great purchase, speedy shipping and a caring seller. No complaints here!

Do not buy this kit as it is impossible to put together. The pieces will not fit together and the whole thing will explode as you build it. Which will send pieces scattering everywhere and you will need to get a flashlight to look under the coach......The quality of this toy is unbelievably low. We had problems with the King Arthur Castle, but a least the pieces fit together. With this kit the pieces won't even fit together.

I echo everything that the other reviewers have said about the parts not working properly. They do not snap together well at all. When you can get them to snap together, you start getting it put together a little bit and go to put on some upper pieces only to have the entire thing pop apart.They should be ASHAMED to sell this product as they must know about these issues!!

I bought it as a birthday present for my kid in toys r us.DON'T BUY!!! The quality of parts is very low. My son was not able to put it together. Then we with my wife - 40 y.old adults- were struggling with it a whole evening. We were not able to assemble it. Parts are not "clicking" together tight enough to hold the bridge. We are returning it to the store.Don't buy!!!

Great buy if you love frustration and things that fall apart.The 1-star reviews are spot-on - this is absolute junk. I picked one up at a yard sale for $1 and only wish I could get my dollar back.Mega Bloks are a 3rd-rate knock-off of Legos. I won't buy another even at discount.

How does the designer of this product expect us to assemble this? I'm an engineer, and I've spent over an hour trying to put this toy together with my son, with no luck.In general, I have low expectations for the durablity of cheap toys like this; but this toy is impossible to assemble. You can't tell me that Mega Brands Inc. doesn't know that this particular product is absolute junk. I will make a point to no longer buy any products from this company!
