Acupuncture Treatment for Glaucoma

Not sure why the 3 star rating by the other person. The rating should be based upon the quality of the book, not whether it's geared to a specific type of audience. (i.e. these gloves are for skiing, not everyday wear... 3 stars.)If you're looking for a book that clearly explains the causes and the condition of Glaucoma and how acupuncture can help treat Glaucoma, then this is the book to get. Gives a lot of great practical advice and really explains things in an easy to understand matter.

This is a great book for patients who are dealing with glaucoma and want information on integrative treatments. It is simple, concise and to the point. Dr. Rosenfarb is a pioneer in the field of integrative ophthalmology and he gives a incredible amount of information that most patients probably have never been told.

Great book, especially for patients and people wanting to learn about using Eastern Medicine for the treatment of Glaucoma. Very easy to read and highly recommend them for the waiting room if you are a practitioner.This is NOT a "protocol" treatment plan - if anyone has treated eye issues using eastern medicine, you already know you treat the PATTERN and there is no "one-size-fits-all" protocol.Dr. Rosenfarb is an amazing doctor and has treated the most patients with eye conditions in the US (and top 3 in the World).His knowledge and skills has helped over 20,000+ patients with amazing success rates.If you are a practitioner and want to learn how to treat vision issues, I highly recommend you attend his classes and workshops.

I'm also an acupuncturist. I'm always on the lookout for helpful information to pass on to my patients. That, and I was also curious to perhaps learn a little bit about Dr. Rosenfarb's approach.Now, I've heard he's a well-respected practitioner, but I can only go by what I read in this book for this review.I'm grateful to have purchased the .99 version, because this book is of little use to me. Most of it describes what glaucoma is. It has very little to say about the Chinese Medicine approach in general and has absolutely nothing specific to say in regards to his approach.After reading this book, I am no wiser as to what his particular take on Chinese Medicine is. He provides no evidence on the efficacy of his approach. To be honest, I'm not even sure I'd even feel confident referring a patient to him. I mean, I have no idea. The book offers very little in the way of information one way or the other.

It must be difficult for a successful doctor to take time away from his practice to teach others. Thankfully this one does. Another great read on eye disease. Keep up the good work.
