The caravan mains socket was exactly as expected and arrived on time.

Not suitable for outdoor use.

I use this caravan mains inlet incase of power outrage. My portable generator would be utilised the supply power into my kitchen (fixed onto East facing wall) . It works well but I've not had to use it in an emergency. I have noticed that the weather cap collects rain water. This may be considered dangerous. In my opinion, it's safer not to use the weather cap at all. Also not to have the generator plugged in permanently. Only connect the generator when needed otherwise the rain water would collect and accumulate into the female socket.
