Compact and works great with pine pellets!
This litter box is quite large yet compact (see picture). I have eight indoor cats and one is an overweight rescue who weighs 20 pounds! He is able to comfortably enter the box and turn around while doing his business. Works great with pine pellets if you put the sifting tray on the top allowing for the sawdust to fall to the pan below. Any sawdust that hasn't fallen through can easily be raked back and forth with the pooper-scooper and it will fall to the pan below (no need to lift and sift). Any pine pellets that get caught between the sifter slits will turn to sawdust once they are wet, so it's a non-issue for me. Scoop solids out as you would normally do. When it comes time to dispose of the sawdust, do the following:1. Lift out the first pan (keeping the sifter on top);2. Then, lift the sifter and place it on top of the second (empty) pan;3. *Dump the sawdust from the first pan into a bag or bucket;4. Place the now empty pan that's in your hands, underneath the pan that now has the sifter on top.5. Continue on with your day!*NOTE: The sawdust slides right out of the pan so, in my opinion, using a puppy pad to line the pan to catch the sawdust (like some people choose to do) is unnecessary.EASY, EASY, EASY!Since I have eight cats, I have nine of these corner sifting litter boxes (one per cat + 1), and there is absolutely NO CAT BOX ODOR IN MY HOUSE because I use the pine pellets and I scoop each litter box daily (let's be real, regardless of the type of litter being used, if your cat's litter box stinks to high heaven, it's because YOU, THE HUMAN are not cleaning it on a daily basis - but i digress). I purchased one at PetSmart, four from Amazon, and asked a friend to order me another four from Amazon due to the 4-purchase-limit.There is less tracking with the pine pellets and this litter box compared to clay litter (it's not 100% eliminated, but it is significantly reduced), and that makes it easier on your feet. The side walls of the litter pan are nice and high so this should help out if you have a cat that squirts while urinating or has a rectal blowout (hey, it happens)! Regardless of what litter pan you use, if you go the pine pellet route, save yourself A TON of money by purchasing Equine Pine Bedding from Tractor Supply company (ONLY USE PINE PELLETS THAT HAVE BEEN KILN DRIED - I learned this from a YouTube video). In my region, it's $6.92 for a 40-pound bag. On Amazon 40 pounds of Feline Pine will run anywhere between $27.00 - $39.00 as of the writing of this review.

Saves room!
So I changed from a oval shaped litter box to this one, but I also changed to feline pine litter (or the cheaper brand at a tractor supply store), and this has made a big difference in my life. I depised cleaning the litter box bc there was always those big clumps of pee as they always peed in the same spots. It stunk up my little condo. So I tried this box with the new litter and it has worked wonderfully! I have one 20 pound beauty who fits just fine, and a sassy 11-ish pound boy that had a hard time keeping his pee in the box at first but I got a rubber, washable mat (also a great idea!), and it was easy to wipe up and then run a wipe over. He has had no accidents for over a week now so I think he just had to get used to it. I also have this in a small half bath, and it saves a lot of room so I am really happy with that!

Sift didn't work for us, but the box itself is wonderful
I love the shape and size. Large, high walls, easy entrance, and perfect corner shape. my cats love them. We have two.Only flaw is the sifting didn't work how we wanted it to. We use feline pine, wood pellet litter. The sifting just didn't work for us.Our new method is to put a small layer of the litter(it expands when it turns to dust) and just do a total change ever few days. It's honestly easier than the hassle of trying to sift.We got rid of the sift part of the boxes. They're just regular corner boxes.Still, the size, shape, and walls make it worth it. Best box.

Harder to Clean Than the Rectangular Version
My cat would prefer that I clean his boxes every time he uses one. I don’t, but I do clean often. We keep two boxes for one cat, which works best with our household. The rectangular sifting box is a breeze. The corner version is not as easy to use. The sifting layer In the corner box seems to have a wider edge, so you have to manipulate it more to separate, and dumping it can lead to scatter. But I need one that fits a corner and the three layer sifting system is genius. I clean boxes every other day. The rectangular box might take 2 minutes to clean. The corner box probably takes 4-5 minutes.

Works well, sifting area could be bigger.
Works wonderfully, especially paired with Arm & Hammer Platinum Slide litter. The box is relatively large and fits my 20lb cat comfortably. The only reason this box isn't 5 stars from me is because the sifting area could be much larger, and the sifting grates could be a bit closer together. Small clumps get stuck in the sifter halfway through.Note: Best use of this box is to put one solid on the bottom, sifter on top of that, then the last solid on top with the litter in it.

Good idea, poor execution.
The concept for the product is great. It increases the surface area of the litter box without increasing the footprint. However, the sifting plastic is too flimsy and flexes in the middle due to the weight of litter. This causes the plastic to... oscillate during shaking, and lose horizontal momentum, making sifting inefficient and unwieldy. I have to sift Vigorously side to side which makes keeping litter falling in the catch box difficult.I tried to find a good large sifting litter box with no avail and gave up on sifting boxes period. I ended up getting Petmate Giant Litter Box instead which is working out well, though I can’t use pine pellet or similar environmentally more friendly litter anymore.

Great for Sifting Pine Pellets
Ordered this for our 10lb dogs who are litter trained using pine pellets. It works wonderfully for sifting out the dust of the pellets! It would not work to sift out the poop with the pine pellets, but that's no issue for us as we pick it up and discard it in the toilet. Trying to sift the pellets from the dust has been difficult, and we often just ditch the whole container instead of trying to deal with it. This is great as it's going to save us money on pellets and it helps to keep our floor clean by eliminating the dust that gets stuck on their paws.

Bad design
I love the size and style of this litter box, but the design is really bad. Did they not test out their product before putting it on the market?! Once it’s full of litter it’s really hard to lift the top box because there’s no place to grip it from and it super heavy. Plus it distorts and gets stuck in the second and third boxes. Broke a few nails using it. I am a product designer and this product is bewildering — how did Petmate (a big a** company) miss that?!?!

Makes sifting easy
This is a great sifting box. I used it with pellets for my cats’ litter. Put about an inch of pellets and then once a day, dump in the sieve, the shake it about into the second box. Bits of pellets do get stuck but release easily with a quick brush. It’s a pretty big box even though it’s for a corner.

Corner litter box
Love this litter box! It's large but fits perfectly in the corner and out of the way. You just need to ensure you read the instructions on how to use. The filtering pan stays in the middle, not the top layer for it to work properly.

I have a large cat
I have a large cat that did not fit in a regular litter box. She fits in the one.We also use pine pellets for litter in the box. The sifting part works OK.
