Good book
It's a reasonably good book about one series of the Biggest Loser. The book aims to pass on advice and help by focusing on the contestants. I did learn a few things about what makes a good diet, but you do need to glean some of that from reading the contestants' stories.

"The Biggest Loser- Weight Loss Programm": Eat less, move more
The Biggest Loser is a book of colorful pictures, advice from the show's trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels, a short explanation of "The Biggest Loser" diet plan, a 12-week exercise routine, low-carb-recipes, and remarks from the contestants of the show.In a nutshell, "The Biggest Loser" diet consists of radicaly imiting your caloric intake to seven times your body weight (in pounds). So, if your current weight is under 150 Pounds, you can eat 1050 Kcal. With each pound, that you have already lost, you have to limit your daily caloric intake by 10. There's a "4-3-2-1 Biggest Loser Pyramid" which shows you which foods you should eat and in what quanties, in your caloric recommendation: including fruits and vegetables, proteins, whole grains, and "extras." For a drastic weight loss you have to exercice as much as you can, in addition to the caloric limitation- the more, the better. The book contains a chart with the recommendated daily/weekly exercising in relation to your fitness-level.You are encouraged to drink lots of water, use artificial sweeteners sparingly, eat 4-6 planned meals, portion-size your foods to avoid overeating, read labels like a hawk, and steer clear from certain appetite-stimulating foods.Stay away from sugar, get more water consumption, eat often enough small portions, to ward off hunger, skip the dinner bread and eat a salad first at a restaurant, replace television watching with exercise, eat healthy carbs found in fruits and vegetables, and so on.I tried to like the book. I found it by the Amazon-suggestions by searching for „Jillian Michaels“, from who I recently bacame a Fan by her fitness DVD „Shred- Schlank in 30 Tagen“.As I have never seen the „Biggest Loser“-Show, I was hoping for more personal stories about the contestants. I love Weight-Loss-Succes- Storys, but the book contained almost none. There are very little before/after photos, and very little in-depth profiles of the contestants. All you get is blurbs from them. So, this book is for people who have seen the show- and therefore know the weight-loss-Stories of the contestants.As a diet-book, "The Biggest Loser" is like any other, rushed-to-print diet-book. In a nutshell: Eat less, move more.

Libro utilissimo! Pieno di consigli che davvero ti cambiano la vita! Dopo aver visto la serie in televisione ho comperato tutta la serie di libri. Li trovo utilissimi dal primo all'ultimo! Vivamente consigliato a chiunque voglia riprendersi la propria vita. Lo consiglio vivamente!
