Here are some pointers about how you can achieve better indoor air quality (IAQ). Most home owners and apartment and condo dwellers do not give much consideration to the quality of air they are breathing.First and foremost, all air handler filters are designed to protect the equipment (blower wheel) from getting dirty.It does help if your filter is at the inlet to the return air duct (since that keeps the return air duct clean too.) A MERV 8 filter generally good at all-around filtering , since anything greater will tend to work against the efficiencies your air handler was designed for.Be sure your ducts (if metal) are sealed with mastic.Be sure you insulate your metal ducts properly.Remember that flexible ducts have greater resistance to air flow. When possible, always install metal ducts. Builders cut corners, and flexible ducting is used extensively.That all said, I will be purchasing this set of filters again.The four-inch thick filters at the box stores are too expensive and load up quicker (since they tend to have higher MERV ratings.)

Not the greatest filter, but good. First the bad. The only issue as others have pointed out is the way that Honeywell packages them. The strap that they bond these together with crushes the filter. You have to work with them a bit to bend them back into shape. The only other negative is the filter casing is a bit cheapo - very thin cardboard.Now the good. All that negative aside it does the job and that's what matters. It was the absolute correct measurements to fit my air filter. The filter itself filters well and it's very inexpensive. Some of the competitors charge such a ridiculous amount for simple air filters that it is mind boggling. $50 for a piece of pleated fabric in a cardboard casing - that is just ridiculous. I thought Honeywell would have a good product, but this looks exactly like the Filtrete filter with the paper spacers that I am concerned could easily break loose and get into the furnace air stream. I returned the Filtrete and these and got the Nordic Pure which does not have the paper spacers and had straight folds in the filter. I am keeping the Nordic Pure. It appears to be a much better product.

The real dimensions for this filter were not shown on the site so a person would believe that all filters with the Dims that they show are the same.. Only the rounded up and down #s were shown. I trusted that the #s shown were same as previously purchased filters with the same dims 16 X 25 X 4. I found out too late that the real dims for this Honeywell filter was 15 15/16 X 24 7/8 X 4 3/8. What I needed was 15 3/8 X 24 3/8 X 3 5/8. This is a big difference. At noted above that the company rounded down the last #s while they rounded up the first 2 dims. There is something wrong with the way they portray the sizes. Needless to say, i purchased the wrong filters based on insufficient information on the Amazon site. Someone needs to correct this. Does anyone need these filters since i cant return them since I have exceeded the 30 days on returns.

I have taken 6 deliveries of Honeywell filters from through the Amazon site since 2015. The product itself are pretty well made but seems to be declining lately. My problem is the packing this time (delivery 6) was a hack job. The delivery box was almost twice the size need and contents not secure. To make things worse UPS beat the heck out of the box leaving the contents beat-up as well. The package was open both top and bottom. Someone had a good old time trying to destroy the contents. My previous filter deliveries were from suppliers other than Amazon and I was able to store the filters in the original shipping box. Amazon has been good to me so far but this one missed the mark. I for one will get Honeywell filters again but avoid Amazon as the direct supplier due to shipping concerns for this type of product.

I have used these filters in the past and they hold up well. This is all you need (MERV 8) to filter most dust and lint particles from your home. I do also use a fiberglass filter in the return air register just to catch the big stuff and that keeps the expensive one on the ac from clogging up too fast.

Like others have said, these we were received in a box which was in perfect condition, but the filters inside were damaged on the ends. See pictures. Also, the cardboard is really flimsy and the separators that separate the flutes were all out of place. I would not buy this again.
