The Lucky Cake

It's rare to find a children's book (written in English) that represents Greek customs, ie the Vasilopita with the Lucky Coin! My 4yr old son LOVED it. Will definitely make it a tradition to read it around the holidays as well as make the 'Lucky Cake' every year. Hope the author continues to write children's books that represent the Greek and Orthodox traditions/heritage.

I enjoyed the Lucky Cake since the book was never boring from beginning to end. I enjoyed learning the history about the Lucky Cake tradition as it is mentioned in the story(I'm not going to spoil it for you). I would recommand this book for anyone who joins learning about cultural aspects of Greek culture in finding a coin within a cake as well as young children. Then again, aren't we all kids at heart? Everyone wants to be lucky for the year....why not get lucky in reading this book?
