Best folding chair on the market
8 year review update:I still love this chair. IT has held up as my primary seating choice throughout the pandemic/WFH of 2020-21. I sat in it everyday, all day, and as an IT provider doing email, and remote management, that is a lot of hours of sitting. No frame issues, or bending, no broken bolts, just minor abrasions on the fabric from years of sitting. There are 2 negatives!!The feet are small, very skinny for soft soil and sand sitting. I'm always sinking. But this was never meant to be a beach chair... so I won't take any points for that. However, some wider feet options would be greatly appreciated (i've been hunting amazon for some). The cup holder is still a joke. I think it was intended for beer bottles, with a heavier bottom, but even those can be easily tipped over if you're not conscious of it. But again, no points off for that, because to have a chair that I use daily, for just about everything, home and away... this has gone far and beyond my expectations.ORIGINAL REVIEW:The best folding chair I have ever owned.I'm a big guy, and I travel a lot, and my folding chairs get used and abused. I've spend plenty of money on folding chairs that sag over time, fall apart, stretch, tare, joints pop, and then you toss it in the trash. At 250lbs, I decided to stop buying the 300lb rated target and walmart brands, and bought something a little pricier, but with good reviews. I found the Browning Camping chair and it's weight maximum very interesting... and decided to risk it. The chair is super comfy and supportive in all the right areas. Since it is ventilated on the bottom and back, a very important factor, you stay cool when sitting for long hours at a time, or you get good airflow to help dry off your swim trunks after a quick dip in the pool or at the beach. It has a nice high back so you have good shoulder and neck support when lounging.Opening and closing the chair is not easy, it takes a bit of force to slide those joints loose, I'm planning to add a drop of grease soon, and I'll report back after i've given it some more tests, but I can't let that take points away because I love the chair so much. You have to think of it like this: you only fold the chair twice... to set up and take down... but you sit in it for hours! If you're like me, and you take the chair to one location for fireworks, camping, the beach, a neighbors deck for drinks on a summer night... then the chair will stay in place for a few hours while you enjoy yourself. Putting a little muscle into opening the chair won't kill you. That said, I do plan to put a drop of grease (just enough to smear the sliders) and see if that loosens things up a bit when unfolding. However, if you let the opening and closing of this chair stop you, and you're a heavy guy-gal like me, then you are missing out. By far the best travel folding chair I've ever experienced.

Oh what a great chair!
I actually started to buy a different chair that cost more. However in reading some reviews, I found that several reviewers found that, that particular chair fell apart in places even with much less weight than the chair was rated for. So, I looked at what was said about the Browning chair, and decided to purchase it instead.First I found that at 265Lbs, my "burly buns" fit nicely in the chair. The chair is very comfortable and is good for sitting in for a long time. The chair is simple to open and close with only one movement to open, and one movement to fold the chair back up. The chair feels very sturdy even when leaning in all directions. Another thing that I found that I think is important about this chair, is that it is not a lot of effort getting in or out of the chair. This is thanks to the sturdy armrest along with the fact that one doesn't sink too far down in the chair when sitting. The mesh seat and back of the chair is a big plus also, because on hot days one will appreciate the extra ventilation. The only down side is the cup holder that is pretty much worthless, and the plastic feet that I feel should be made stronger. It is also a little heavy at 13Lbs. That being said, I have had no problems with any part of the chair. Bottom line is, I love this chair and I am very happy I purchased this one instead of the first one I started to buy. If I needed an extra chair, I would buy this chair again in a heartbeat. BUY THIS CHAIR! NOW!

Broke after 3 uses - super comfortable, a little heavy
OK, this is my favorite camp chair I've ever used. This one is our 3rd one and was only used 3x before it broke. Our others are probably 10 years old, well worn, and still great (but one got stolen - so I bought this one). Now, I'm not light (190 lbs) but this thing should be double stitched here, and set up so that the steel frame is tight to the outside of the pocket. I've broken other old chairs in a similar way - but they were cheep things, and expected. This one is new, and though the dimensions of the fabric are exactly the same as our old ones, wasn't tight into the pocket, and tore right away. For a walmart chair I wouldn't be complaining. But, the ones we have been using for approximately 10 years are bomber. I'll say that these are the most comfortable camp chairs I've ever sat in. They are a little heavy, if you need to carry them more than 20' from a car to the fireside. Also, if they are hard to close, spray a little silicone spray on the metal frame and plastic sliders, and they will close easily. Good luck. I'm going to try to hand stitch mine to fix it. But, shouldn't have to. Kinda bummed on this chair right now.

Heavy and Amazing
This is the second one of these I've purchased, as the first one was lost during some country music festival shenanigans after having owned it and used it extensively for 2 years. If my new one was also stolen I would but a third. It's that good.I had never purchased a fancy camping chair before the Browning Fireside, always buying cheaper discount chairs because I never knew the difference. I decided to take a chance on this and it's now my favorite piece of car camping kit.It is heavy, sturdy, extremely comfortable, and feels like you're sitting in a much more expensive chair. When it's setup around the campfire and I get up to raid the cooler, everyone fights to see who can sit in it. You have been warned.Despite being heavier than any cheap camp chair I've used, I still carry it a mile or more in its included heavy duty carry bag with strap to and from music festival venues because it is that amazing for sitting in all day. The mesh back and bottom are thick and have shown no sign of wear but allow for some ventilation so you get some air flow. And the cup holder is sturdy enough not to worry about whatever lemonade you spiked with hard alcohol you had to sneak passed security in that fake sunscreen bottle you also bought from Amazon.

A great chair with a terrible bag
A great comfy and sturdy camp chair but it doesnβt fit back in the bag very well! Took a whole lot of effort to fit it back in, so likely wonβt be using the bag regularly.

Very comfortable chair. We ordered a pair of them for camping and they have met our expectations. Seem well built, but I guess only time will tell. We've only used them a couple of times so far.
