We have purchased a few of these. They are really fun to grow. Great for kids and adults. Easy directions sprouts pretty quickly.

What a great idea this is. I grew up in the redwoods of California and hold this species close to my heart. I still live in California. But I moved several hours away from any Grove and miss seeing them. I get to pot it for quite a few years before planting. Really looking forward to the experience. Great product and idea.Edit: Almost all the seeds sprouted. I left one in the container. I just planted it into a pot once the roots took over. It is still healthy. It already smells wonderful. Having the smell of a redwood brings up so many childhood memories.

So far there is no sign of germination. The seedling is doing well, the seeds -no. Also, its a redwood, not a sequoia. Go with the seedlings , you will have better luck

As of right now its been about 27 days and I've got really nothing to say. It's only been out of the fridge 7 days but so far no budding. Hopefully soon.

I’m soo excited I got twins!Like another reviewer I named them. In short my first born is Majestic and my 2nd, born a day later , is Wild Child. 🥰The instructions were clear and easy to follow then add patience. Definitely a fun way to grow your own tree of any kind. I personally love the California coastal redwood sequoia. I recommend this product and seller.

Second time buying this kit. First time, 2 trees germinated (forgot to water over spring break and they are no longer with us 😪). This time, I got a single sprout. Hope to plant on my property someday!

Our grandson was born in California a few miles from us. When he was in fifth grade his family moved to Texas. One of our gifts to him last year was the Redwood seeds. He started them in pots and - hopefully - will be able to transplant them in the yard in the Spring! Even if they do not "take" the thought is what he appreciated.

I’ve bought three of these. Each one comes with 6 seeds but only one of those seeds will pop, every time. I want to plant 6 of these awesome trees, so I keep buying them but the germination rate is horrible. I guess I’ll have to buy 3 more because each time I buy them, only one seed germinates. At this point, I think this is intentional to give the buyer the perception that they’re getting a better deal than they actually are.
