CottoniqueHypoallergenic Lounge Shorts for Women with Skin Allergies and Sensitive Skin

First purchase at Cottonique after realizing that the itch and rash around my waist were due to elastic. The minute I tried on the shorts, my skin let out a sigh of relief. I usually wear a Size 2 and I got the 4/5 in Cottonique sizing. The shorts are a tad loose (haven't washed them) but I am happy with the fit. Please continue making these. My skin thanks you.I noticed mixed reviews for Cottonique's underwear. That's something else I really want to try but they are expensive, so I am going to wait and see. I need to be really confident that they will fit right and are just as wonderful as this pair of shorts.

I normally wear size 14 and even some 16 size shorts. I bought the size 8/9 because I suspected these were on an "underwear" sizing scale and I wear a women's size 8 underwear and they fight very comfortably. You can feel the comfort right out of the sealed packaging, they slip on easily, have no elastic or other skin-irritating components. Even the draw-string tie is organic cotton.I am 5'6", 185 lbs (not proud of that), and carry weight around the middle. There is plenty of room still for comfort or to cinch the waist to fit. Even if I lost 25 pounds, I can see these shorts will be a favorite go-to.I bought the black and they cover completely; however, I can tell when holding the shorts to the light that I would not buy white. Also a plus is finally finding a fabric that is like a second skin, lightweight, non-clinging. The current ad photo doesn't do justice because the leg openings in the photo appear skewed but the pair I received hangs nicely. I will wash these delicately and finish drying on a hanger, though, to preserve the cotton integrity.I love these shorts, a real find for someone with sensitive skin, and expect to buy more.

well made. love these shorts do not have elastic. I would normally order a medium so the size 8 in these is way too big. I will just cinch them up, but their not flattering all gathered up.

These are 100% cotton they’re so comfortable they breathe very easily I love to play tennis in these I highly recommend them they really hold up extremely well mAde!!!

I followed sizing correctly, the size is for underwear. The shorts fit width wise totally as expected, but the "rise" length was ultra low cut. I wanted to pull them up, resulting in camel-toe look. LoL. I was looking for home lounge pants. The pockets looked sloppy, would have been better if they were sew on front instead of inner pockets. The waist string was lumpy. The inner seem length was a bit long, but that would be ok for lounge shorts. But the rise? Ugh, too short. If you're young with a tight flat abs, you'll like this. If you are an older woman that has loose stomach from having multiple kids, you're going to hate the fit. I was excited to find pure cotton knit clothes, but the style is for young fit people. If they had a longer rise, I would have kept them and prolly ordered more. I returned.

I washed and dried then from new 1st and then measured 6/7 is 15" (30") wide. 8/9 is 17"wide (34"). the extra crotch flap is silly and i removed it. 4 snips . no sewing. The belt will have to be tied flatter or sewed. a bow is gonna be a lump. slip knot should be fine. Nice belt wide and soft cotton.

I search and search and clothing that is ONE HUNDRED percent cotton is hard to find. These are very comfortable, soft, and fit as expected. I also like that they have pockets. I wish this company would make more and in larger sizes, since I'm a size 14, some of their stuff is not available for someone my size, which is actually pretty normal these days. Regardless, I am happy with these and will be ordering more things as I find them in my size, etc.

These run a bit small and they are super comfy. So many women casual shorts have a thick, unforgiving waistband and these shorts do not. They are really comfortable. If you're confused about sizing you may want to go a size up since they do run fairly small.
