Created too much heat in device
The tool provided to open the case was not sufficient so I used a small wood chisel. I installed and it was fine for a couple of weeks with very light use. The other day everything was loading really slow and then I noticed the case was really HOT. I turned off the device and now I have get the battery out to dispose of it. I threw away the tools that came with it because I thought everything was fine so now I can't return it. I don't think it would be safe in the mail anyway.

Samsung tab 2 Battery Replacement
The replacement went OK but the tools supplied to pry the back cover off were very flimsyTwo of them broke. I ended up using a half inch chisel to get it off. this left some rough edges on the edge of the back but these were covered up by the Tab 2 bumper.A word of caution. Keep track of the tiny screws (6).
