Theosophy

I have read this book at least four times. As with all of Rudolf Steiner's books, this one requires several readings over the years. You just can't read it once and think you know what it contains. It has to be read slowly and thoroughly engaging one's thinking faculties.This is not easy reading. In order to understand it, the reader needs certain basic, foundational knowledge that can be obtained through reading Steiner's books, "Knowledge of the Higher Worlds and Its Attainment," "Occult Science, An Outline," and "Christianity as Mystical Fact." "Theosophy" is called one of Steiner's basic books, but IMO, it's not basic at all.I will read it again!

The print quality of this edition is subpar. With the text covering a fraction of an already fairly small book format, the type is difficult to read and makes this already complex subject matter an unbearable read for me. I'm not sure why the margins are about an inch and a half on all sides, resulting in such a small print per page. I would not recommend this for anyone who likes to read. And I have 20/20 eyesight. This book was cheap, now I understand why.

This book provides good thought food that one can take in and digest to grow in spiritual sight. This volume of Steiner as a first Steiner read serves well in my experience.

My first book from Rudolf Steiner I read when I was 16. Now being 50, I still read it from time to time as it is one of his foundational books. Love it!

Brilliant, just as all of his books are... so much to learn from this man and so little time... my biggest fear is that at 69, I won't have time to read all of his work...

Very detailed descriptions of the body, soul & spirit components as they affect each other.. Not for beginners. Language is difficult to grasp at first. Overall an excellent book.

If your into this type of esoterics or just looking deeper into the world and the origins of man then Steiner is your guy. His knowledge is very broad and his lectures delve into many many subjects.

Perfect intro, just what I was looking for. Was suggested to me by a Rudolf Steiner reading group.Love it.

Poor quality publication that looks like it's been photocopied. Also terrible translation. Don't buy it.

A thought provoking ,deeply spiritual work that is a must for any true seeker. The author's experience on the subject comes throughin a clear and authoritative manner. It leaves the reader asking for more on the subject while at the same time the content of this book requires a few rereading to fully appreciate it.
