Battery holder for my AcuRite Atlas weather station solar power supply
This is a very nice and sturdy battery holder. I used it to hold my 1 battery for my AcuRite Atlas weather station power supply. I was able to run the weather station for over 10 days, so I am sure I will be able to make it with even bad days of weather and have plenty of power.

Worked well with my Meshtastic node.
Easy to solder. Worked a treat.

Great replacement for 1042
This can be a great replacement for 1042 or 1042p, I bought 2 1042 from mouser and they were slightly bigger than it's supposed to be and the battery didn't fit, so I came up with this one. the footprint is the same as 1042 and battery fits properly as well

Fit is almost too tight.
I’m going to put a piece of cloth behind the battery to aide with removal. It’s a cheaper design, and i’m probably not going to buy more of these. I’d prefer a spring loaded contact over the tight fit.

Solid
Solid frame, contacts are good and tested out fine on the voltmeter, and I like the battery retention. Will update if anything changes but so far it's 5/5

Very tight fit. Will need to be modified to fit protected batteries.
Update: After some playing around with these, I found that they CAN be made to work with protected batteries, however it will require some modification. On the negative end, I used pliers to compress the contact down to being almost but not completely flat. And on the positive end, I broke the tab off of the contact so that the battery's button instead slips into the little slot that holds the contacts in place, and makes contact with the flat surface instead.Unfortunately these ended up not being suitable for the project I intended to use them in.If you are using regular unprotected 18650 batteries, then these holders could work for you. However, you should know that the fit is very tight, especially the first few times batteries are inserted and removed. So much so, that they actually left visible scratches on my batteries. After a few times, the contacts will get crushed down a bit, and batteries will then be a little easier to get in and out, but those first few times are a real pain. You absolutely will need to have some sort of removal aid like a ribbon. For a protected battery though, these absolutely will not work. They simply aren't long enough to be able to hold a protected battery. I even tried using pliers to squeeze the contacts flat, and still wasn't able to fit a protected battery in

Well made battery holder.
Nice and sturdy, the soldering points are nice size and the holder looks nice.I wish this brand came with a 3 cell version.

Excellent fit for protected 18650 from orbitronics
I used six of these to make a 3s2p pack for Supernova mini pro 45 light, front and rear, that I use on my Gocycle G3. I was able to stick six of them together with double sided 3M tape. You must grind away the excess plastic dimples on each slot in order to achieve a perfect fit. The batteries fit very tightly on the first try, then the springs get spread out allowing for the batteries to fit more easily. Good luck
