Dynamat is a great product as it definitely deadens sound. I'm not sure if it really quiets anything down but I only put it in the doors. On top of that my truck has a lot of rust that lets air run through the body making noise. I do like how it made the door panels make a much more dull sound which I'm sure minimizes a lot of road noise when the truck shakes. The truck didn't have much vibrations to begin with, if at all. I had some low powered speakers and not amplified nor do I have a subwoofer to create any unnecessary vibration. The rear doors had some vibration but that could be to my poor mounting of aftermarket speakers which I changed and screwed them to the door panel. The 36 sq. feet included in the package allowed me to do the front doors (inner and outer door skins) and about 75% of one rear door (inner done, outer missing some). Now I suppose if only did the outer door skin you could do all four doors as I only used about 1.5-2 sheets per front door (1.5-2 for inner, and 1.5-2 for outer). I covered the majority of the inner door skin and most of the outer door skin. It is possible to use far less than I did, but I wanted to have the maximum effect since I was already in there. Go big or go home, right?Dynamat has a strong and squishy sticky backing that keeps it stuck very well to the panel but allows you to pull it up easily to move it (as long as it hasn't been pressed down hard). The thermal foil on the outside is thick and strong, while still being easily cut and shaped around edges and bumps. Some spots were too much for the foil to conform so it ripped some but the sticky backing still covered the door. If you used smaller pieces it would be a lot easier to work with. I tried using the largest possible pieces to cover the door. The paper backing is quite strong and of good quality making removing it simple. Something to note is the dynamat is much more rigid with the paper backing on it, then when its off. So be weary if you have a long piece that works, when you remove that backing it could become flimsy and make it hard to install. Make sure to check spots that could have issues when installing the dynamat. Installing dynamat alone shouldn't have many issues but if you put dynaliner (1/8") on top like I did it could cause clearance issues (it made it hard to install the front door panels).I used scissors to cut pieces out but used a razor blade to cut out holes needed for mounting hardware. I also put pieces onto the interior door panel (or pieces) to remove any vibrations that might be in that panel. The pictures I've included are the front passenger door and rear passenger door. I also used dynaliner on top of the dynamat for the thermal properties. It also made the install much cleaner looking. I didn't take pictures of every step though. I also did each door differently with different tactics. I will say smaller pieces are easily managed but have to play games as you have to cut more pieces and put them together. Larger pieces allow the job to be quicker but makes it tough to cut out things or move it for whatever reason.Used in a 1999 GMC Sierra Ext. Cab (3-door).

Great soundproofing
Needed two boxes to do the whole interior of my crew cab F-250, but it's like a brand new truck how quiet it is

It does protect from the nouse
Should be in black color as most interiors are black and shiny silver coat jars.

Worth every penny...!
Great investment for the best quality sounding bass your speakers can put out. Not one rattle from my trunk, fenders, license plate or inside my car! It will upgrade the way your bass hits. 36ft-9 pieces did my trunk completely took about 8hrs on and off after work. Buy a roller and something to cut with. It's well worth the time and money!

Very good
Don't cheap out on sound deadener. This stuff is great. Sticks without a heat gun. Doesn't spread under the hot sun. Nearly twice the thickness of competing deadeners. I've tried others thinking I could save a buck but it turned out that I needed way more to do the same job and required a heat gun which was time consuming and annoying. If your upgrading your stereo, rattle will be gone with this stuff. Took nearly 100 sq feet to do the whole car well (trunk, both sides of rear deck, doors, inside of door panel plastic, half of headliner - if you do at least that, you will have no rattles. The only way your dissatisfied with this stuff is the cost.Warning: get yourself the roller and a good razor blade otherwise you will have Cuts all over your hands since the aluminum top is very sharp when cut.

Easy to apply
This was easy to work with. Installed quickly and easy to piece down. This was enough to do the doors, floor and headliner of a Ford E350 cab.Highly recommend getting the roller!

There are cheaper brands
There are lots of choices out there for this type of product. I went back and forth on choosing cheaper alternatives. Putting this stuff down is not fun and you certainly don't want to have to redo it. Or have regrets about the smell, or the "rubber" oozing out when it gets hot. With that said, I chose this one. Did the entire floor of my hot rod. Yes, it's expensive, but usually you get what you pay for. This is what all the pro builders use. I'm happy with my purchase.

Work perfect- not your typical use though
I have a very noisy brand new hot water boiler summer winter hook up. I used the dynamat all along the interior of the enclosure and it dramatically help with cutting down the noise. Excellent product
