Had no problem installing these on my camper tops rear window, fit well and operates as expected. Not as heavily built as original ( 1986 ) but what is nowdays .

The media could not be loaded. My struts in my toolbox wore out months ago and I was holding the top on the toolbox with a screwdriver. Just got these and it’s perfect, matches the size and works just like intended. The struts it’s self seems like good quality and would last a good while. Probably too much pressure for my tool box lid but it works well. I’m pretty sure there’s other applications to these struts such as for car hoods or tailgates. Good buy and would buy again if it ever fails.

Easy fix. I would lubericate the pushrods lightly with dialectric grease to help it last a long time. The made it smoth and easy to close lid.

Exactly what I needed for my toolbox lid. So glad description said that the 10 lb strut was for 8-11 lb lids Installed them in less that 10 min and the lid opens and closes like new. Will update this review if they don't last, but highly optimistic at the moment.

I purchased Arana 30 lb gas struts for my Snug Top camper shell rear window. They worked well for 14 months, and then one strut developed an oil leak. I contacted the seller, Arana Auto Dept, explained that one strut has developed an oil leak and is not functioning. They sent me a new pair of the same struts that I purchased earlier and they work well with the Snug Top shell. The struts work well, are easily installed with a small screwdriver and the customer service for the company was great. These struts are 20% of the cost of OEM struts, and they work well. I will purchase them again in the future.

It was a direct swap, so easy and a perfect fit. All you do is use a small flat head screwdriver to lift the retaining rings, pop the old one off top and bottom, pop the new one on, rinse and repeat on the other side. Bam done. As long as you get the right size you're golden.
