The device functions as I expected. I specifically bought this so I can play back all my old cassette tapes that I accumulated when I was in my teens. When CDs and audio file formats like mp3, wma became more popular, these tapes were relegated to the archives. Playing them back on this cassette deck brings back old good memories. However; one of my wishes though was to have an auto-reverse functionality on the decks. It would be nicer and more effortless if the tapes will switch to side B automatically without me intervening to do it. There were times that the sound was muffled and unclear but it can be attributed to my old cassette tapes rather than this player itself.

Can you record with noise reduction?

Yes you can if you have (or can locate) an outboard Dolby encoder (I'm assuming by "noise reduction" you mean Dolby B, or possibly C). You would have to find a used encoder as they haven't been manufactured for many years. The W-1200 (for this purpose) has Dolby calibration markings on its VU meters.

Does it come with its own mp3 conversion software?

Mmanual indicate free software download website for Windows. wav, mp3, others.

When recording two blank cassettes , when the left one is full does it start recording the other tape without any stopping?
