It doesn’t smell bad and it’s gorgeous along with being organic. Absolutely the best. I apply with thin rubber gloves from the doctors office.

I bought the Chocolate Sun in Dark. I found out about this brand after reading an interview with a makeup artist who used this on Elle Fanning in her Netflix show called "The Girl From Plainville". She is so pale naturally that I was so impressed by her natural tan that I googled what brand she used. It was Chocolate Sun.I prepped my skin by exfoliating with a tanning sandpaper Mit in the shower, shaved, then used a tanning mit with a large plastic bag inside to make sure it didn't get on my hands (the mits usually leak).I used circular motions all over and used the "leftover" for the tops of my hands and feet making sure to get in-between the webbed parts.I applied the lotion twice (2 days apart) to get a double layer of tan in the photo here because I’m very pale naturally. The result was so nice! I used it for my trip to vegas and my friends gave me lots of compliments on how naturally tan I looked.

This stuff is amazing. I'm very fair complected and I have to apply sunless tanner about every other day to get the color I want with most tanners. With this, I can get a nice (not orange) tan by using twice a week. It's pretty strong, so I wear latex gloves when I apply it. I also mix it 50/50 with normal lotion when applying to my ankles, knees, elbows, and hands. As with all sunless tanners, you need to exfoliate in the shower with a washcloth once a week so that your tan looks fresh and not scaley or too dark. This stuff has clean ingredients and I can't recommend it enough.

Something has changed. I used to get this years ago and loved it. This was incredibly splotchy once it developed. So disappointing.

This is THE BEST all natural self tanner I have ever used and I’ve been tanning for 10 years. The color develops so nicely, lasts 7+ days, and fades evenly and not patchy whatsoever (as long as you moisturize every day). As soon as you put it on and rub it in its dry to the touch, no wait time of feeling sticky and wet. Chocolate sun has just gained a life time customer, I’ll never use another brand.

I love this stuff! Worth every penny - most natural looking self tanner, love it for so many reasons! Vegan, wonderful smell, easy to use, great color!

I was so happy to finally find a self tanner that (claims to be) all natural and organic. The color is pretty good for what it is, not too orangey for the first day (or two) at the most. But then... oh boy... it scales off of your skin leaving you looking like you have liver disease. And God help you if you have freckles... they will be pigmented dark orange long after the rest of the “tan” flakes off.I said “claims to be” organic because I unfortunately had a reaction... I have MAST Cell Activation Syndrome and something in here is definitely chemical and inorganic. The company might want to take another look at their ingredients.

This smells so good when you put it on, although it smells the same as most other self tanners the next morning after the chemical reaction with your skin. The color is really great but does seems to fade quickly after washing and it does stain clothing.
