Unitek Type C USB C Compact Flash Memory Card Reader

Having read all the reviews I was apprehensive but my fears were allayed as it just worked brilliantly out of the box I had had a similar one with a lightning connector for my iPad Air2 which I still use 3 years on when my son bought me the latest iPad Air 4th gen I was disappointed that apple had dropped the lightning connector and adopted the usb C and was ideally looking for an adapter with no success as I need this for my job buying this was my only option and I can say with confidence it works brilliantly I just hope it lasts as long as the other one…only time will tell

Works and feels sturdy. Would be improved though if it had a socket on the unit rather than a captive cable which, I suspect, might be the weak point in the design. Time will tell.

Nicely put together, has a good solid feel to it. I got it as I have an older camera and no laptop. This purely bypasses the need for a computer as I can transfer images from memory card to phone. Effortless to use and looks like a product way beyond its price point.

It works perfectly. Although itvdoes not work with my iPad Pro. That's an Apple proprietary issue rather than the product.

Product works fine, speeds seem good. Couldnt get it to work on my iPAD Pro at first, but this was due to my SD card that was used for Security Camera storage, once I plugged into my Comp it said must be formatted. Once the SD was formatted, stuck it back into my iPad and came up straight away.

this worked well with sandisk. Don't waste money on cheaper models. Lead is short so becomes fiddly. Perhaps manufacturer should lengthen lead for a couple of pounds more.

The only small gripe i might have is that i had a card that needed an adapter. However, that was slightly too big to use with the Unitec reader. Apart from that it works just fine.

I do a bit of photo and video as a hobby and this is a very hand little gadget, plugs directly into Mac mini and works well. Build quality is good and speed is fine even with footage from 360 camera.
