Bipra 500GB 500 GB External USB 2.5 Pocket Size Hard Drive - Black - FAT32 S2

I purchased this hard drive, not to use with a computer but as a recording device for my Toshiba TV. Plugs straight in to USB port on TV using fly lead provided (no additional power lead required for device) and works great for one touch recording of digital TV and HD programs straight from TV guide to Hard Drive, saving the need to pay out for specific PVR or DVD recorder and no runs of messy cables. Ok, lacks some functionality of a full PVR, but it’s tiny by comparison to most PVR or DVD recorders and have attached using Velcro strip back of wall mounted TV so it’s all but invisible. 500G size will hold hundreds of hours of recordings so its a bargain.

This item arrived in very quick time and really does everything they said it would do. It is easy to use and despite some reviewers saying it was noisey I have found it to be whisper silent. I didn't even realise it had started at first.I'm mainly using this HD as a back-up for my computer games console so it won't be getting hammered and think it is very good value for the money. Oh and it looks great as well.

Was initially very good, no problems and transferred around 100GB of data the day I recieved it. However, it now is not registering at all on my computer or on other; I think I can actually hear that a screw within has come loose. Poor quality, wouldn't recommend, probably worth it to spend more money on better quality external hard drives.

I bought this product out of desperation, I wanted a cheap way to boost my storage but this turned out to be more than that, straight out of the box, it was light, compact, robust, and with its range of fitments extremely effective!It is well made, robust, yet quite flexible in its abilities, It needs no extra external power, and using the alternative fitments, even backing up my mobile is easy!This product has certainly had plenty of use since it arrived and I have no complaints, as yet it has done everything that I have asked of it and it still is doing, if you need a cheap yet effective expansion for your computer, tablet, or mobile phone, you need look no further, this product is great!

Purchased this to store photos, music and university work. Had no problems with it at all so far, quickly transfers files and has opened every type of file I have transferred onto it. My iPod recently crashed, resulting in all my files being lost on iTunes. Before purchasing this hard drive I would've had to download all the files again so it has definitely saved me a lot of time and money. Could definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable, efficient hard drive.

The size is small and handy but needs wirings (2 - one, for power and two, for data)to connect to the computer is cumbersome

I needed a hard drive to back my files prior to a new Windows install, this drive was perfect for that. Simply insert the USB cable into the drive and plug the drive into a free USB port. Windows 7 installed the drivers straight away and the drive was ready in less than a minute. It's as easy to use a USB flash drive. If you need a small backup device, but need bigger storage than Flash, I recommend this hard drive.

Despite ordering using Amazon's free delivery option the product arrived within 3 days rather than the 5 - 8 anticipated.I bought this item to back up music files directly from the USB port of a disk/streamer combo. The streamer didn't recognise the disk drive at first so I reformatted (FAT32, which is what it was supposed to be) using my Mac. After that it worked fine and did the job. No complaints so far!

It was not the product that I ordered I ordered the 40G FAT32 and received the 80G FAT32 so I cant complain it works great for everything I needed it for the shipping was even early

Ideal, um alle wichtigen Daten zu speichern und zu sichern, außerdem hat diese Festplatte ein schönes Design. Die beigefügte Tasche ist ein Plus. Diese Festplatte ist einfach zu bedienen: Die Festplatte mit dem PC verkabeln und die Daten draufziehen, welche nicht verloren gehen sollen. Sehr empfehlenswert für jeden PC Nutzer.

Since the listing is in English I'll comment in English.Title says FAT32. Specification says "formatted as NTFS". It came as FAT32, presumably to cover use in non-Windows machines.I tried the included cloning software. It refused to copy 27 files so I did not get a clone. I reformatted in NTFS and used Casper to clone my C drive. No problems. I got a full clone, which I can install if my C drive dies. The disk I got is an Hitachi at 5400 rpm, SATA.PDF instructions say a screwdriver is included. I did not get one.So, for me, the software fluff that came on the disk is irrelevant. Otherwise, I'm happy.
