True Honor (Uncommon Heroes, Book 3)

A SEAL and a CIA analyst fight terrorism
This is the story of Sam, a SEAL, and Darcy, a CIA analyst, and the way they fight terrorism with their teams. When I read the scene for 9/11, it gave me chills because I remembered it so clearly. It is a good, suspenseful, clean book with wonderful characters. It is very enjoyable. However, it was a little slow moving for me.

Draws you in immediately
Another good romantic suspense from Dee Henderson. Darcy St James is different type of heroine--a retired, yet 30-something spy--with a price on her head. She’s strong, maybe to a fault, but likeable, not hard. Her romantic interest is Sam "Cougar" Houston, Navy Seal. I enjoyed more of the dialogue and internal thoughts Henderson had in previous novels, but this one still works well. The unexpected plot twists keep you turning pages. For the serious Christian, the Scripture usages and “talking” with God seem natural and not forced. Good suspense, good romance (although a little more “electricity” in their relationship would have been nice), well–written novel. Satisfying read.

Good Christian Novel
This is the first book I've read from this author. It was well-written and a good read. I really enjoyed that the characters interactions seemed genuine especially when discussing their faith. I don't typically read spy books or military based books because so often they seem very unrealistic. I feel this book did a good job representing that there isn't always neat action-filled moments in the spy business. It demonstrated the paper trail and more boring parts of being a spy. That was nice. I do agree with some of the other reviewers it did seem to drag on in parts- especially towards the end. The romance exchange between Darcy and Sam were very Christian based, so if your looking for more spice, this wouldn't be for you.I really liked the author's writing style and plan on reading another one of her novels.

Good book
True Honor by Dee Henderson is a good Christian fiction book. This is the third book in the Uncommon Heroes series and was definitely very well written. From the authors notes you find out she was writing this book when 9/11 occurred. I definitely think it changed her writing style in this book. There was a lot more action and details about Seal ops and CIA operations. I would have preferred more development of the love story like in the previous two books, but maybe that is unrealistic when writing during such a horrific event. Still a good read and just reminds us to appreciate all those here and abroad that strive to keep us safe from all those who want to harm us.

Best Among Best
Although I love all the books in Dee Henderson's Uncommon Heroes Series, Book 3 True Honor, may be my favorite. Although Darcy St. James has retired from the CIA, she's called back into action following 911 and the intelligence she generates keeps deploying the Navy SEAL team to which Sam "Cougar" Houston belongs. When Sam and Darcy meet, they discover romance neither of them are expecting. But Darcy is a threat to the terrorists so they want her dead and Cougar will do everything in his power to keep her alive.

This was my most favorite of the four books in the series.
Excellent choice of books; #3 of a 4 book series; I read this before before & was looking forward to owning the full set for myself (a birthday present to myself). Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time (yes, even though I was re-reading & knew what happened). Dee Henderson is one of my most favorite authors. I really look forward to purchasing more of her books. These are not books for young children who can't understand tough situations.

This book is realistic in its descriptions of encounters the seals endure. My husband was an army ranger and I often discussed the missions with him. The characters were believable, especially the necessity to wait and continue to research until breakthrough comes.

Great book
Loved this book - almost as much as book 1 in the series. Sam and Darcy are adorable. This book, much like book 1, was more about the romance side, than the military side. It still revolves around the military - September 11, spy's, and terrorist - but the military lingo didn't over shadow everything else, as it did in book 2.As always, enjoyed visiting with past characters from the prior books. LOVE Joe and Kelly.

A good read
The story is fast paced, has action and a love theme in it, with a sound morale basis to the life's of the characters that could reflect people that live in my town or street. As a Christian it is valued that books are written where faith and spirituality is accepted as an integral part of life - not knocked, belittled or diminshed.
