Poor measuring, order more than you need.
I ordered one yard of fabric (44 inx36 in). The piece of fabric I received was about an inch shy of this on both sides and that's including both selvege edges. So really it was a couple inches shy. I won't be able to use this for the project I bought it for. I usually get more fabric than I need, but there wasn't an option to order increments of a yard and I didn't want to order a whole extra yard of a fabric I was unfamiliar with. If I would have gotten a properly measured yard I would've had just enough for my project.
